I'll likely be voting SSP in the local elections, but i'm not impressed by any of the "big three" to be honest.

Did anyone catch the Chancellors' Debate last night? I've recorded it so I haven't seen it yet, but apparently Vince Cable was immense.

I watched it -I think all three did as well as they could have in the situation, which will be a lot different to the leaders debates because they were given more free reign last night than Brown, Cameron and Clegg will have. Most thought Cable was the "winner" by far, but then the critics say that's because the Lib Dems have no chance of winning the election so he can be far more honest than the other two will be, and promise things without having to really explain how. He also wasn't being attacked because Darling and Osbourne just wanted to attack each other.

It's possible Cable could become Chancellor through the back door via a hung parliament was it was still good to see his opinions, but if he is able to be as free and honest as that if the situation arises is another thing.

I thought the debate only cemented what we already knew:

Cable: Great
Darling: O.K
Osbourne: Useless lightweight

Non-specific deity help us if the Conservatives win. Which they will.

For me, a Tory government will be great. As a middle class specialized IT worker, I can expect to see my tax burden fall whilst my income rises. Happy days.

However, the rest of the country will be fucked. So I've got to look past my personal interests.
