The faceless cooporation who classed the trek up Catbells as a good "Beginners" route. Also, my friend was fairly off the mark to suggest we may be hampered by this Ash. I've finally looked into the issue and I don't think a mountain like Catbells is really going to be hassled. It pretty much was a steep hill.
