They just don't do anything for me, I don't get into them. If anyone else fancies doing it then that's fair enough, and I'll go in for any decent gatherings going on and I'll bring some cans and stuff but that's about it. I don't even like getting presents as I will feel a sod getting something and not giving something else in return, so I have to bomb out and find stuff at busy times and it's a hassle I don't want. For birthdays I usually unimaginitively opt for a load of their favourite booze, but I'm fairly generous with my money all year round so I don't feel a scrooge for not getting into the gift giving in the seasonal times. I think it's just I wig out a bit when there's social pressure to buy presents or do stuff and generally fuck it off. Hence why I hate trick or treaters. But even while I don't get into any of them, the one I actually can't abide is Valentines Day. It's fucking shit, and I believe it to be a twatfest. Even when I've not been single on the day I've fucked it off and I don't really get why others get into it. I'm not even going for the "I think you should show you care every day" defence, I just think all your cards and lovehearts and teddy bears look rank as fuck and should be burned, and I hate the competition that can come up in it too to outdo other couples - you're both losers to me.
