Recently some of my 'facebook friends' (ie people I went to school with who are slightly too interesting to delete) joined this 'angels and spirits' group on there and somehow, though I'm not a member, their posts show up in my newsfeed. http://www.facebook.com/groups/192722202729/?ref=tshttp://www.facebook.com/groups/192722202729/?ref=ts I was having a nose through and was really surprised by the numbers of people who get involved. Some of them claim to have some bona fide real life experiences of spirits and some claim to have spirit guides and be in touch with 'the other side'. I've always wondered what people get out of it, how if affects their life and their way of thinking. I've always thought of myself as a realist, a scientist, someone who needs cold, hard FACTS to believe anything. But for the second night in a row it's past 2300 and I can smell flowers. There are NO flowers in my house, at all, ever. I hate the things. And it's quite creeping me out... Should I be worried? Should I believe?! Or should I chuck out the air freshner..? EDIT - fuck I cannot spell tonight. Edited by Dina, 2nd August 2011 - 11:56 PM.

Well it's not the air freshner. Also, I need to buy a new air freshner, as this one is YEARS old... EDIT - that's not how you spell it, is it? The word has lost all meaning to me. Edited by Dina, 2nd August 2011 - 11:52 PM.

Sounds like you're about to have a stroke. Recently we've been thinking about getting some cats, and at the same time a few times recently I've been convinced I could hear a cat in the house somewhere. I figure it's when I'm half-asleep and my mind is on cats. Then this afternoon I'm in the studio, and a cat poked its head round the door, which freaked me out. I followed it out the house and it ran off over one of our fences. Looked like a real cat to me but I guess if I was particularly needy of excitement I could pretend it was a ghost cat. |

A floral stroke? It you smell smoke you're having a stroke. By that logic I'm about to have a ftoral. Cats are psychological animals, so the fact they're in your head before you actually have a cat... bad sign... |

I'm not sure how bad of a sign it is. There's not really much a cat could do to you bar shitting in your headphones, or giving you a bit of a scratch. And a ghost cat couldn't even do that. I'd welcome a ghost cat as it'd be a super low maintenance pet. |

People's pets tend to like me a lot of the time, but here, I've noticed a lot of cats tend to follow me when I'm walking to places. When I was told by the girl in Urban Outfitters that I must get so much pussy with my accent, I don't think that's what she was talking about. |

The couple I'm living with have a cat and I have to say, I've never been a huge cat fan before but I'm warming to the idea quite quickly. They're playful and fairly low maintenance. I don't think this one is a ghost cat though, sorry. I don't believe in ghosts or spirits. It's all bollocks. I did once wake up and was convinced there were some black shapes moving around on the floor of ny bedroom and I was terrified of them. Despite being awake I was freaked out for a good 5 or 10 minutes. |

![]() Something obviously stimulated your smell receptors. Could have been stray pollen (that stuff gets everywhere!) I guess. Or you could just be going mad? |

I don't really believe, but like i told some people on here from the old TWCF. If They remember me saying ? When i was younger on a saturday morning,I got sent to the local shops to get bread, milk and the morning paper. I saw my grandad just away to get into his car and he stopped and smiled,We spoke he gave me a pound and said he would see my later. I went into the shops got the stuff and went home. This all happened with in like 30 mins. When i got home my Mum was in tears and i asked her what was wrong ? She had just got off the phone and said my grandad had died and was found that morning. I told her i had just seen him at the shops, which to this day NO one believes me happened. I can't explain it and have not had anything else happen to me thats been like that. |
