Lord Guilliman Tybalt-Havelock A man born of hardship on the borderlands of the civilised realm. Generations of the Havelocks have safeguarded the frontiers of Atavia against untold menances beyond the light of the wardens watchfires. Guilliman is a choleric soul, due to his upbringing and lifestyle, having little time for the intrigues of court and the luxury of a nobles birthright. His weatherbeaten features speak of a fortitude and tenacity as deep as the roots of the oldest oak trees and his scars each carry a different tale of battle fought. His blood is tied to the soil of his lands; nor will he hesitate to spill more should the need arise. |

Lord Vercingetorix Morcant II Not much is known about Lord Vercingetorix, as he rarely has visitors to his holdings. He is, however, known to be a strong supporter of the king. The two have never had any conflicting agendas, and Vercingetorix is quite happy with the way things are---assuming he knows what happiness is, that is. Bitter and wrathful, he has rarely forgiven an enemy who has earned his ire. Once the young lord might have been considered a joyful youth, but the boy's father was killed in what was assumed to be a hunting accident. As such he took control of the Morcant holdings at an early age, struggling to hold their ground from rival lords. Years of constantly living both on the edge of civilization and destruction have wrought a heart of iron in Vercingetorix's chest. He is known for occasionally being erratic, one moment rampaging to smite an enemy and the next he may be unwaveringly calm and collected. He is, however, loyal to those who call his holdings their home, as long as they don't betray him. Despite the growth of his holdings from what his father had previously held, Vercingetorix is rather young still and has oft finds himself brooding and depressed over this fact. He often believes himself to be inferior to other lords, though none would be the wiser unless he was closely scrutinized. Just as well, despite his erratic tendencies, he attempts to keep himself in a particular mood by surrounding himself with certain ambiances and thoughts. Vercingetorix makes all effort to wallow in his misery and fuel his anger. It is not unknown for Lord Vercingetorix to overcompensate for his inferiority complex by occasionally throwing lavish feasts and festivals, though the lord himself rarely participates in them. More often than not few, if any, invitations are sent to the holdings of outsiders. Edited by Morse, Feb 2 2011, 12:03 AM.

Earl Ædelstan of Eastwood From vigorous warfare and the land he came from, Ædelstan grew from a young savage into a warhungry Earl. Cruelty and swiftness guided the savage man. It took not long for his servants to learn this, as the easily angered Earl would throw himself upon them in fury. Though he lacked in people-skills, resulting in poor National Charisma, he maintained with brute strength and in some cases fear. However, to his home tribe and their historic allies, he has proven himself to be a benevolent and generous ruler. However, he is untrustful to unroyal lords from outside provinces, as he feels they seek to take advantage of his people at any time, or will be jealous of the wealth from others. Ædelstan was raised in the savage backwoods of Eastwood as all her people were. The land was split before the king annexed the entire region, and the tribes, now known as Eastwood's Baronies, fought near endlessly over the resources and ancestoral feuds. As such, Ædelstan saw war first at the age of six, and fought eight years after that. Constant violence saw little room to develop in the nation, and the tribes fell behind the world in culture and technology. Raw strength determined the war, not flashy armor. This was the major fault of the land, and the Kingdrom swept through to annex the whole region. Ædelstan was the strongest tribe along the western boarder, and as such, he was appointed Earl of the realm. Many of the tribes refused to aknowledge his authority, or failed to swear fidelity to the king. This split the kingdom, and Ædelstan faced the challenge of unifying his people. It was through warring with unruley barons, Ædelstan siezed absolute authority over the people. Edited by Jeff, Feb 1 2011, 05:53 PM.

Lord Isak Hauclir Coming from a family of old that had lost most, if not all, of its glory, Isak had his work cut out for him when he took over his father's position. His early life was lived in contempt of his father who did nothing with what he had. When his father died almost as soon as Isak turned the age of 18, many looked to him with curious glances. Isak gained much fame in his early years in power through his skill with a blade and his cunning nature. His family having lost most of its wealth, Isak is a man of ambition who hopes to gain the kind of wealth and power that would make a name for himself separate from his family's name that had lost its glory. He is often seen as ruthless and an elitist, but his intentions generally lean towards using his position to further himself and the nation as a whole. Isak is a man of loyalty to the crown, even if he often disagrees with others in how things should be done. He is very outspoken and quite often seen as arrogant due to his calm collected nature. He often angers others due to his willingness to speak his mind regardless of who is around him, making him lack somewhat in diplomacy at times. However, he is not devoid of charisma as people often admire his guile and courage in defending his opinion. Edited by Leon, Feb 1 2011, 05:57 PM.

King Morgan Lane III King Morgan III is the youngest of the Lane Dynasty to ascend the throne of the Kingdom of Atavia. Morgan is known as a man of incredible chivalry and of respect throughout the Kingdom, ruling with a hand both benevolent and respecting towards his vassals. Despite such things of his inward character, the King is known to take swift and harsh punishment against those whom fail to respond to the greater good of the Kingdom. Laws are generally fair and actually are in favor of both the wealthy and the poor, unlike the previous King Morgan II whom attempted major social reforms. In this sense, the young Morgan Lane II has been ambitious in terms of increasing the strength, prestige, and prosperity of the Kingdom of Atavia which has undergone a bit of stagnation throughout his late Father. He has been shown upon his ascension to the throne to grant and take his fiefs from Lords whom have failed to respond to their dues to the Kingdom, have shown themselves in the eyes of the Kingdom to be deceitful, or to have displayed acts of dishonorable behavior on the field of war and have not fallen in according to chivalry and justice to win proper honor and glory. His first and foremost goal is to maintain the Kingdom's unity, which, is at times very difficult considering the Lords tend to have vastly different opinions. Edited by Chris, Feb 2 2011, 05:34 PM.

Lord Damien Snow Snow is a name commonly associated with the personality of the family it represents. Damien Snow is a cold individual, drawing away from communicating, and associating with his fellow lords. Many view him as cunning, and cold. Someone that you don't necessarily want to be friends with, but a man you can rely on. A man that honors his family and country above personal friendships. He focuses on what the King needs before he worries about his own selfish needs. It's a family philosophy to always honor what the King asks, when he asks it. Damien is a very strong willed man, and is not easily broken by his companions. He hopes that in this new hour he can help aid his Kingdom in advancing, and gaining more power. Honor is what he craves for, and the King's acceptance is what he pushes for. |

Lord Jaime Harcourt![]() Jaime was the second son of the late Duke Arden Harcourt - whose will and testament provided Jaime's elder brother Egbert with his title and the majority of his estate. The Harcourts have always led a charmed existance however, being offshoots of the Lane dynastic line, so Jaime had little to worry for over finding a place for himself in the world. If he had been of a less significant family he might have been reduced to a hedge knight, forced to seek his fortune and employ at the discretion of other lords and princes. As it was though - his father provided for Jaime a sizeable swath of his territory, and the beneficience of King Morgan Lane saw a further expansion of his lands. Jaime has returned the favor through service to the King as his Royal Majesty's Marshall, leading his forces and those of his united vassals in battle in the defense of the Atavian Kingdom. Jaime's youth gives credence to more than a few protesting voices that claim he is too inexperienced for such a role. Despite them, or perhaps because of them, Jaime has striven to prove himself a competent and capable commander... So far, he has done so. Or perhaps luck simply rides beside him to battle. Jaime is young, and there's yet much time left for him to attain either glory or shame. His personality and style of dress leans towards the flamboyant and gaudy. Jaime's success at his young age has caused him to be a bit arrogant - and rather than hide it, he has fully embraced his own love of himself. It doesn't help that he's handsome and has a reputation for ending up in the bed of a different Lord's daughter every night. Certain noble families have even taken to sending their daughters away during feasts where he's expected to attend - so worried are they that he'll steal their maidenhood with a smile and kind word. Several years ago Count Egbert Harcourt died of a wasting sickness. Jaime has taken up his lands and titles since this time. Jaime is not only cousin to King Morgan Lane, but also to Lord Vladimir Arinan. Edited by NinjaSheep, Feb 1 2011, 11:39 PM.

Lord Mattias Emerthall The second son of Lord Richard Emerthall III, Mattias was somewhat neglected as a boy, the senior Lord Emerthall was occupied with preparing his eldest son for his position. For education, Mattias went to the same military academy that his older brother went, expected to follow in his footsteps. Upon Richard III's death, much of the estate was given to Richard IV. However, Mattias had learned to make due with the smaller amount of resources, and was fortunate enough to build wealth to rival that of his brother. The years have made Mattias a greedy and unfair Lord, and has created potential problems in the Kingdom more than once, however eventually Mattias has fixed the problems. He holds a slight grudge against his brother, but that has not stopped him from working co-operatively with him and the King. He has always remained loyal to the King, even though it may not seem that way from the actions he has taken in the past, and not surprisingly, he has been known to make brash decisions without waiting to understand the consequences. Lord Vladimir Arinan Arinan was once a pleasant individual and found himself well liked amongst the many people he knew however such an outlook did not last. The weight of manhood and lordship changed Vladimir from the somewhat common individual he was to a professional and sophisticated individual. An air of elitism and professionalism always surrounds his person which brings about somewhat of an intimidating presence to lesser men. His general attitude is not forgiving nor accepting with answers such 'no' not existing to him in conversation, things will happen and he will make them happen if need be. Despite his former self Vladimir attempts to distance himself from people mentally which keeps him as almost a mystery to even his closest friends and advisers. Few know what his plans for the future are but he has always been known to look after those who serve him well. |

Moff Elatur Tsevaris Elatur is a considered a realtively young Atavian, and therefore in the eyes of many of the kingly court he is unproved. This disdain and neglect has led him to develop a reckless sense of adventure and a chip on the shoulder that has produced in him a desire to prove himself and gain glory and honor. He is an unusually tall and fair Atavian, with refined features and graceful movement, producing a sense of nobility in his features, if not by his birthright. This however has not carried over into diplomatic ability, as Tsevaris can at times be extremely blunt and commanding, and is considered more of a martial commander than a diplomat. Despite his crude diplomatic skills though, Elatur is generally easy-going and due to his generally low birth rank readily accepts commoners in his prescence. Tsevaris also has a religious fanatiscim for Odeum and the Tehlea that borders on the edge of questionable, driving a natural hate of humans and their ignorant and barbaric ways. |

Lord Duncan Locklair Lord Duncan Locklair was the last son in less than prosperous family, which ended in a fierce competition to obtain as much of the meagre holdings upon their father's death. Duncan being the youngest with the least support from the other nobility, lost out the most. This devastating blow to Duncan however strengthened him with a resolve to master and study politics and governorship, using the stinging lesson as a constant reminder. Otherwise Duncan is quick witted, sly, but generally likable socialite, spending more time in various courts rather than the battlefield. Edited by Lodwin, Feb 5 2011, 05:57 PM.

Lord Sorel Udiel Sorel is the second of three sons among his family, noted for their loyal service to king and country as knights on the border. As the middle son, he had accepted a role as a supporter of his elder brother and father. The lack of special attention allowed him to develop a stoic personality, warm with friends and family but silent to most others. Out of the spotlight, Sorel has dedicated himself to steady training and study in combat tactics, quietly developing him as a competent commander noted for efficiency and self-control. In a shocking and brutal blow to the family, the latest frontier battle resulted in the loss of both his father and brother, thrusting the unprepared young man into the position of lordship. Skilled in battle but untested in diplomacy, the new Lord dedicates himself to creating strong ties with the central figures of the nation, determined to maintain the strength and honor of the Udiel name, and prove his worth to the kingdom. |

Lady Tynisa Introl Tynisa is a woman of uncompromised loyalty to the throne. She has never been one to speak out against others. Her abilities in battle are nationally renowned, which is why she was able to keep her father’s status as a moff. She is determined to keep the Introl name one that is known for its skills in battle. She is singular minded in this fashion and often is only concerned with the next quest, raid or battle. Her father Tisamon had taught her as much as he knew about fighting, combining this with her mysterious natural talent to come to the brutal efficiency she has in battle. Along with teaching Tynisa how to fight, Tisamon also provided her with an education through means of a private tutor. It was there that she was able to learn ways of politics, history, and many other things; making her not only an efficient warrior, but a knowledgeable moff. |
