This is a continuation from this thread.

Having been awoken by firstly Frinchassa stumbling into her room by accident, and then the visit from the High General of the Empire, Serenity found herself unable to sleep. Try as she might, she just ended up turning over and over in her plush, comfortable bed. She was awake now.

“I may as well make my way to the throne room… Get a little work done.” she thought as she slipped from her bed and walked over to her wardrobe. From it, she plucked a mostly white dress, with a blue underlining and golden detail stitched into the fabric in a filigree pattern. Once dressed, she slipped on her ankle high, white boots and left the comfort of her room.

“Ma’am.” both guardsmen sounded, bowing as much as their plated figures allowed, just as she left her room.

Smiling to them both, she said quietly “At ease, gentlemen. Please make sure anything Advisor Tideweaver needs, is seen to.”

They nodded before she happily continued down the long, crystal hallways. Her heels sounded and echoed right the way along before she disappeared down the staircase which spiralled. Opening the first door she came to, although there were more further down, she stepped into a narrow corridor and finally took the door to the throne room. The few groups of scholars and servants that were littered across the throne room , and had spotted her, bowed lowly to her as she approached her throne.

Sorin paused as he stood outside the Crystal Palace, a place he'd formally called home. It was a haunting beautiful structure, being carved entirely out of fine crystal that always seemed to shine. He recalled fondly how the hallways would often be casted in a rainbow of colours from sunlight shining through the walls... Though he'd left it all behind after they had taken it from him. And given it to a child. The entire palace glowed ominously in the moonlight as he ascended its steps, his finely crafted golden armour clinking softly on the crystal. He'd had the armour made shortly after he founded the Empire... It wasn't true gold of course. Simply gilded steel. The breastplate was imprinted with the image of a forest and the pauldrons made up of overlapped leaves. He did have a certain affinity for nature after all. It was in his blood. He was of the wild.

His honour guard followed not too far behind. The very finest soldiers that the High General had trained, garbed in heavy robes of golden cloth and armed with halberds. He'd brought two of them with him... He didn't even know their names. He never took time to learn them. Almost as soon as had he entered the vast airy entrance chamber, they were met by guards. Men clad in enameled plate of white and blue, chastened with gold finery.

"State your business." One of them demanded in a tone that much reminded Sorin of himself.

"I seek an audience with Her Grace." Sorin said calmly. "Tell her Emperor Revane has returned."

The three men paused uneasily before one departed. Sorin smiled. It was nice to see he was still remembered.

A guardsman rushed towards the throne, halting before the steps leading up to where the young goddess was sat. He lowered to a kneeling position before her. She looked at him curiously as he spoke, he sounded almost fearful.

“M-M’lady- Y-your highness-” he stammered, tripping over his words in a panic “Emperor Revane is here t-to see you.”

Serenity turned a shade paler. While she was ready to welcome him home, his appearance within such a short time of his High General leaving, seemed to have a veil of unease about it. Rising to her feet, she clasped her right hand in her left in front of her.

“Very well,” she began “allow him in. Please have the guardsmen posted at the door.”

The guardsman rose to his feet before bowing to the Goddess, hurrying to carry out his orders. He approached the two guardsmen at the door, nodding to them both. All three resumed their posts, standing at attention and allowing Sorin and his men through.

“Emperor,” she greeted politely “I welcome you home. To what do I owe the surprise?”

Sorin took an almost perverse pleasure in walking into the throne room and seeing the various servants, scholars and guards shrink visibly at his presence. They remembered him. What he'd done for them. And how it'd been taken from him. Though the swell of pride he felt was barely anything compared to the sudden surge of fury at seeing the girl seated upon the throne. However he kept his composure as his honour guards flanked him. He strutted the length of the throne room, stopping shortly before the steps leading to the throne. The girl spoke her courtesies and he listened before speaking.

"I assure you girl... This is no longer my home. I was born amongst the forests here but it was your existence that drove me away." He remarked, not attempting to mask his spite. "I have come to speak with you about a matter of grave importance to the both of us. In private, if possible."

Some of the servants frowned at the tone Sorin used against their beloved Goddess and a couple of growled mumbles were exchanged by the guardsmen at the door. Serenity, however, looked sadly to Sorin with an expression of pity. She couldn’t understand what she personally had done to warrant such hatred.

“You are still a brother of mine, Emperor, you are just a little lost. I hold no ill will against you,” she began, descending the steps to stand on his level rather than talking down to him. As she spoke her next words, her voice seemed almost enchanted as it echoed around the room, yet with seemingly little effort “Servants, scholars, I politely request that you leave us. Guardsmen, please stand at your posts outside the doors and close them. Do not enter until I give the command.”

No sooner had she spoken, the command was carried out; servants and scholars scurried out of the various doors to the throne room, and the guards closed the door reluctantly, sealing their Goddess inside with Sorin and his guardsmen.

“Please, Emperor, speak what is on your mind. I assure you, none will enter.” she said, offering him a sweet smile. No matter how much he hated her, she was incapable of feeling mutual.

Sorin remained quiet as the others occupying the throne room did as they were bid. He waved a hand at his honour guards, they too leaving the room. Better to show her courtesy than to needlessly insult. He was still civilised. And the girl was hardly a threat to him... Yet it did make him feel slightly guilty that he placed his resentful feelings upon her shoulders. She was barely a child. Once the doors closed his demeanour softened slightly. You caught more flies with honey than with vinegar.

"I come to you about your counterpart." He remarked calmly. "I caught one of his pets sneaking about my castle... He insists he didn't send her. I'm not so sure. He spoke of the defences of the Empire, calling them needless."

He took a deep breath. He'd left this Kingdom for good reason... The girl was a timeless entity. Immortal. A permanent part of the world. Yet he needed her. As much as it pained him to admit it.

"The Empire is small. Caught between the territories of the Light, the untamed parts of the Badlands and Dunklestadt. If the Armies of Darkness marched upon my people I could not hold them off." Sorin said quietly. "If my people fled to the Badlands they'd die. The forces of Darkness would slaughter them like animals... And most are too proud to run back here. Do you understand my meaning?"

“My dear Emperor,” she began, looking up to the tall figure “have I not always promised to protect you to the best of my ability? I will not ask you to ask me for help, I understand that you are a proud man. I will offer it, however. I will see to it that, in case of dire emergency, should you be attacked by the Kingdom of Darkness, you may return home with your people as long as they behave themselves. I do not ask them to bow to me, I do not ask anyone to do so, but I will ask them to respect my people and their traditions.”

Serenity bowed her head slightly to the elf; she held a lot of respect for him in some ways. He was more of a leader than she was, and always did what had to be done for the benefit of the Kingdom. True, he was power mad, but the Kingdom remained strong and powerful. He had kept them safe when she could not.

“I do not know what else you would wish of me, but that is what I can offer as of this moment. For those too proud… I cannot ask my people- our people, to embark on an offensive. I can, however, ask my guards to patrol your boarders until you can stand on your own. A truce.”

Sorin listened to the girl as she spoke. He didn't know whether to be grateful or insulted. He could tell by her tone that she meant him no disrespect but it didn't stop her from insinuating that the Empire was weak and defenceless. It was far from that. He just had more sense than to try and take on the amassed armies that the God controlled. As she finished he cleared his throat before speaking once more.

"I have no need of your guards... The borders of the Empire are well patrolled as it stands. I just wish my people safe passage here should the Dark make a bold move." He said quietly. "I think Al'i'aeon would do. Easily defendable... And I don't expect my entire Empire to make it here should the worst come to the worst. The outlying villages may need to be sacrificed to give the bulk enough time to escape. You would not be required to give us any assistance beyond sanctuary."

“You ask for very little from me… To grace me with your presence, I would have thought that you had more to request. I know you are a busy man.” she said with a smile, “You are granted the sanctuary you ask for. You all may return home if Darkness threatens you. Besides, how could I refuse? If it were not for you, my Kingdom would have fallen in my absence. I owe you.”

She glanced to the doors to check that the guardsmen had kept it closed just as she had requested. Serenity was always worried about spies, even if they were on her side. The goddess disliked the idea of trickery and deception.

“Was there anything else, Emperor?”

Sorin smiled lightly and inclined his head respectfully to Serenity. It was better to make an alliance with the one Kingdom he knew wouldn't betray him at the drop of a hat. She was too kind and too soft for it. But his current thoughts had drifted to the High General... Whatever he was up to. He couldn't let her know that he knew that he'd been there of course. She knew little of the spies within the palace.

"There is little to keep me busy in the Badlands. And I did feel inclined to lay my eyes on this place once more... There'll be nothing else Your Grace. Have a pleasant evening." Sorin remarked, once again inclining his head politely before turning on his heel and striding towards the doors of the throne room.

It was time to pay his High General a visit.

Serenity bit at her lip in thought as she watched the Emperor leave. Why did he choose to show himself now? The Goddess wondered if times were really as desperate as he made them out to be. Her eyes narrowed on the opening doors as Sorin left the throne room. Turning on her heels, she clasped her hands in front of herself as she paced backwards and forwards once or twice. Slowly and gradually, scholars, clerics and servants filtered back into the room unsurely, some giving their beloved Goddess a worried glance.

“My lady,” one advisor spoke up, he was mostly non-descript, adorning light blue and golden robes “is all as it should be? The Emperor returning has had many of us worried.”

Serenity turned to face the man with a small smile “As always, I shall be honest; I do not know if we should worry or not. His intent seems to be a truce should Darkness prevail over them. I could not find it in my heart to refuse them.”

The advisor nodded, scuttling off towards a cluster of other robed men, mumbling in conference of what he had just been told. Serenity could see the looks on their faces; mixtures of fear and outrage. She shook her head and continued to pace, keeping her thoughts to herself.

One of the wooden doors creaked open on the right side of the throne room. A pair of blue eyes peeked around to check to see if the coast was clear. The scholars seemed only a little worried now, and not as terrified as they were a few minutes ago, so she assumed the Emperor had left. Sighing, she poked her head around the corner of the door before her body followed along with her hair. Frich closed the door behind her, which caused quite a ruckus. A few near by scholars turned to look to the nymph; some bowed their heads in respect for the ancient being, some frowned for the racket.

“Apologies,” she whispered, a light blush crossing her cheeks as she hurried towards the throne to lay eyes upon her goddess pacing “my lady? What troubles you so? I have not seen you like this in such a long time.”

Her eyes looked up to the beautiful, white haired goddess in awe and a hint of worry. As she finished speaking, she stooped into a graceful curtsey, her dress flowing around her like the very waters she controlled. Frinch had a feeling that, although there was a war of strength afoot, out on the battlefield, she believed there was a battle of wits taking place in each Kingdom. Serenity was playing a very dangerous game, and Frinch was well aware that the Goddess would have to be careful in every action she was to take.

Kivan's face was blank as he strode to the Throne Room doors. The guards, having already been notified of his arrival nodded to him as they opened the doors. Kivan's stride never faltered, an air of calm following him as he stopped just inside the magnificant room.
"Your Highness." he spoke, inclining his head polietly, his shoulder-length grey hair falling in front of his face. As Kivan lifted his head, he shifted the hair behind his ears once more, his face still blank of emotion, his aura still standing. He shifted his weight slightly, leaning on his staff slightly more than before, his robes hanging perfectly from his shoulders.
"A word, if I may."

“My lady? What troubles you so? I have not seen you like this in such a long time.”

The voice caught Serenity’s attention, snapping her from the daydreaming state she was in. It wasn’t quite a daydream, more considering consequences of the actions she was to take next; much alike playing chess, considering the moves your opponents would make should you move either your knight or your rook.

“Frichassa,” Serenity began, looking towards the nymph with a warm smile “do stop fussing over me. All is well, I am just troubled with the same troubles any leader faces. I stand confident as I am comforted by the fact I have people like Zakira and yourself to rely on… Even if he has yet to show his face. I know he is out there…”

Serenity went off into a daydreaming state again. Zakira’s absence had been noted; not just because she was told of her general’s absence by the advisors as she ascended the throne, but she knew in her heart of hearts, that something was missing. She had yet to lay eyes on him in this life time, but she figured that he had to be someone special to her past self, in order to give him such a gift. The gift of a life. Would he even know it was her? Similar questions taunted the girl as they had yet to be answered, if they were going to be answered at all. He might not come back, although somehow, the thought hurt her.

Once again, Serenity was brought out of her train of thought as the main doors opened slowly, being pulled by the two guardsmen posted at the door. Scholars and servants stopped to look as an elder, elven male strode into the throne room with confidence. Turning from Frichassa, she looked to face Kivan as he approached. She had only met him a few times, mostly when she was no more than a little girl, and a couple of times after her coronation.

As he had finished speaking, she stooped into a curtsey and replied, smiling warmly to him as she did so “Of course, Clan Warden. Would you prefer to be away from others or do you not mind being in present company?”

She gestured around them both; scholars, advisors, politicians and servants present. Each could be distinguished by their extravagant clothing. Even the servants looked pristine and well looked after, happy even.

"Though they will inevitably be told of what I am about to say" Kivan said, disaproving ever so slightly, "I would ask we talk in private. Matters of concerning nature have reached my ears."

The elven man smiled, his green eyes noting the various people in the room in one swift glance, before returning to Serenity. Kivan simply waited for the response, shifting his staff ever so slightly.

"The earth is forewarning. War, is coming." stated simply, his eyes hardening for the first time, the aura of calm disapating from around him, his fingers curling into a tight fist in both hands, face hard. "The time has come for the Wood Elves to choose where we stand."

“Very well then, please follow me,” she requested as she turned on her heels “the corridors are a little confusing if you do not venture down them often.” Passing Frich, she gave a nod to indicate that she was fine and would see her later. Serenity strode towards a door to the right of her and opened it, passing through it and holding it open for him.

“My study is just through here Clan Warden,” she began, looking at him curiously “we may speak privately in there. Is there anything I can have a maid get you, to make you feel more at home?”

The Goddess was widely known for her kindness, however it was customary to make sure a guest was watered and fed before conducting business. Through the door she was holding open, was a narrow passageway, wide enough for two people to walk side by side. The walls, although they were white, glittered like crisp ice glaciers. At the end of the corridor was a warm and inviting study, books lining the walls and a crystal desk and three chairs lay in wait for occupants. Cushions seemed to be everywhere; by the window, on the chairs, on the floor… all in neat piles where the Goddess would rest and read the time away.

"Please, guests first." she said with a smile.

Nodding once, the elf strode after the Goddess, staff clunking with each step on the floor, his hands still tensed. Kivan continued to absorb the palace's details with the smallest of glances, noting anything of importance.
"I'm fine, thank you." the elf stated in response to the Goddess' question. He continued to walk beside her in silence, his robes billowing slightly behind him, before reaching the study.
"My thanks" Kivan said quietly, before stepping ahead into the room, standing still just inside the doors, keeping somewhat to basic etiquette.

“Please have a seat, make yourself comfortable.” She said as she turned to close the door, turning the key in the lock and leaving the key there. It was just to make sure nobody barged in. Turning around once more, she walked towards the large chair behind the desk, pulled it out and sat down. Once she was comfy, she looked to Kivan.

“It is seldom that I see you, it adds to the severity of the situation. Death must indeed be looking my people in the eyes if you sit here before me.” she said, a tone of fear and sadness about her voice.

Kivan nodded once, before sitting down in the chair, resting his staff against his thigh. The elf interlocked his fingers, before resting them in his lap. The man took a deep breath, lowering his head for a moment, before re-raising it, his face showing no emotion.

"My people are at risk. We've never attempted to meddle or involve ourselves in the affairs of the three Kingdoms, but we are divided now, scattered, and there is danger coming. We both know, My Lady, that war is inevitable. The time has come for my people to choose a side, to defend ourselves, and the lands we call home." The man sighed deeply, stroking his beard once, his eyes settling on the Goddess' face, sad, yet determined.

Serenity nodded as his words rang true; the Wood Elves had always been rather distant, their only loyalty being to their fellow fae and the woods they belong to. Looking down to the desk, she went to open her mouth, however she closed it once more, changing her mind about speaking right away. After a moment or so more of taking in what he had said to her, she finally spoke.

“You are right, war is coming… We must all stand by our brothers and sisters, not just for ourselves, but for our children’s future,” she paused, sighing a little “I truly do abhor war, but sometimes it is needed to bring about peace. I trust that you know my protection is extended to your clan if you should wish it so. Just tell me what you would want and it is yours. I will fend off the Dark Lord himself, on my own, if I must… Your people- our people… My brothers and sisters, cannot be allowed to fall to darkness.”

Kivan nodded at the Goddess' words, before taking a moment to compose his words.

"I am grateful, for your offer of protection, however the Wood Elves are far too seperated for us all to be protected easily. I must ask of your aid, in a different matter of protection. I must ask of your aid, to unite my peoples. Help me with this, My Lady, and you shall have the Wood Elves at your side, not for you to protect, for you to rely on." Kivan stopped, taking a large breath inwards, his eyes meeting Serenity's, steely and determined.

"What do you say, My Lady?"

“For generations, your kind has been segregated,” Serenity began, her tone slightly distant as she was in deep contemplation about the task ahead, however her gaze returned to him as she continued “what makes you believe that we can reunite your people? I need to know that this is not beyond our reach before we pursue it. While we are not short of people for our cause, we cannot afford to spend time on something which will fail, lest we wish for the Dark Lord’s men to approach our boarders. I shall help you, Clan Warden, I would never deny someone help whom asked for it, but this needs to be planned carefully. Wouldn’t you agree?”

The Goddess thought about the benefits of reuniting the Wood Elven clans, but the Wood Elves had always been apart for as long as she could remember. If it was going to be done, not only would it need to be done quickly, but thoroughly due to the volatile relationship between the clans. They would fight over everything; women, cattle, trees… If it could be argued over, they would attempt to thwart the other for dominance.

"My kind need to be re-united if we are to survive. It is getting them to realise this that is the challenge. I am not the only person in our world to have realised that a war is brewing. The earth is telling us. Screaming out at us." Kivan said smoothly, apparently having prepared to pitch his argument.

"I have already sent scouts from my own Clan to find any Elves nearby. Hopefully, they shall in turn send their scouts on." he continued, smiling confidently to the Goddess. "The time has come where the Wood Elves must fight, my lady, and it is at your side we stand should this task be completed."

The wood elf smiled once more, determined, confident. Reaching into the folds of his robe, the elf rummaged for but a moment. In that moment however, the robes seemed to move with his will, and from the gap Kivan plucked a folded piece of parchment, clearly not of elven origin.

"This list has every other wood elf clan myself, the other Elders, and the people under my protection know of, and their whereabouts. These groups will doubtlessly know of other clans, so you must send on the message." the elf nodded once, face calm, his aura burning now with determination. "Will you help me, Goddess, so that you can help yourself?"

“I have an idea, if you will allow me to share it, Clan Warden?” Serenity asked, tilting her head in not only curiosity, but in deep contemplation of the idea itself “Keeping in mind your kind’s traditions, I propose to host a banquet, extended to all members of the Kingdom of Light, in honour of our elven allies. It has promise to not only reunite your kind, but bring them fully into the embrace of this Kingdom. Of course, I will make sure that all traditions, food etiquette and other such things are upheld as to not offend anyone.”

The Goddess smiled at her ally, reaching over and attempting to slide the piece of paper across the table so that it would lie in front of her. She was taught the history of each race as a young girl, during her studies. In her head, she had already managed to plan out the whole event, the only problem would be what actually happened when everyone arrived. This worried Serenity more than anything. If a fight broke out, she would need to put an end to it rather quickly.

“This list should help me with invitations. What say you, Warden?”

Kivan listened to the idea, nodding once after the Goddess had finished.

"It would seem, my lady, that your insight has far out-shone my own once more. A banquet it is then. Remember however Goddess Serenity, that no part of the land can be harmed in any way to complete this banquet. Foods must be cold, and meat based if you are to win the affection of my people, and their trust."

The elf smiled once more, rising from the ornately made seat and bowing his head polietly, his cloak folds following the every move of his body.

"Well then Milady, if that is all, I must leave, as now there is much to deal with." Kivan said, inhaling once through his nose. "The earth tells me my Clan are un-nerved. Best to set them at ease. If I may?" He questioned, smiling towards the Goddess.

"I will set out little notes by the food about how each dish was made, so that your people can eat the food and drink the drink, without worry." Serenity began as she too rose from her seat, neatening down her extravagant dress "Please, do put their fears to rest. They are under my wing, I shall protect them, even if it means I should face an army myself."

"You know you couldn't go to war for them... You love even the darkest of hearts. You couldn't take a life and you know that Serenity."
"I- I know... But there are surely other ways to protect people other than taking another's life."

The Goddess smiled to him as she stepped from infront of her chair and walked around the table so that she was in his full view. Clasping the sides of her dress, she held them as she lowered to curtsey to him. A sharp pain shot through her head; a migrane but as though her head was going to explode. Cringing in pain, her hands shot to hold her head to hold it. The girl stumbled in an attempt to find her balance again though she just ended up on her knees, her dress pooling around her. She tried her best not to cry infront of the clan warden, however a couple of tears managed to roll down her cheeks. The pain was just too intense.

Kivan nodded at the Goddess' words, happy that she would stick to them. She was a kind soul, always true to her word, caring about others more than herself most of the time. This was why Kivan was truly shocked as Serenity fell to the floor. Within seconds he had dived over to her, any sign of his movement invisible to the naked eye.

"My Lady?" he said, concern layering his voice, followed by a yell, "GUARDS?!". His voice boomed down the hallway, even through the doors that stood in its path.

"My Lady, are you okay?" he asked again, gently grabbing her, supporting her as best he could, his concern increasing upon noticing her tears. Her pain was clear, too clear to the elf's eyes to be normal pain. No, this was something different!

"My Lady. It's okay, I am here. Fight it. Whatever it is." he said, mumbling in elvish between his soothing words, worry thick in his voice.

Kivan’s voice was amplified by the sharp pain going through her head. It felt as though her skull had been exposed and someone was dragging rusty nails along her brain. She knew what it was, it happened now and again. Through her pain, she begain to explain to the elf what was going on.

“I- It’s… It’s because I’m mortal… Containing a divine creature, in a mortal body it-” Serenity paused as she tried to compose herself, being held up by the Clan Warden “it’s part of my punishment. It- It always happens.”

She looked so frail yet managed to maintain her soft, graceful nature as she remained on her knees. The clatter of plated boots echoed down the hall as a few men approached hurriedly, answering Kivan’s call. They burst into the room with worry and looked down to the pair, seemingly awaiting orders.

“I- I’ll be alright… I’m sorry… Please, go to your people with haste.” she said weakly, smiling to the elf however the smile faded as the pain intensified once more.

Perched on a low hanging branch of a tree just outside the main gate of the crystal palace, the wind gently blew the leaves as they whispered in a low timber, Ryver raised his head and turned in the direction of the palace. The cry for help was unmistakeable, but who on Earth had crossed his vigil without notice to raise such an alarm?

Not taking the time to wonder, Ryver alighted on the ground without a sound, and began running into the gleaming spires. His robes billowing around his ankles, and his sword sliding back and forth against his leg, he began to wonder what had caused such a commotion, but soon enough he found the answer as Kivan was cradling the Queen.

His bare feet padded softly as he slowed to a stop near them. Crouching down and nodding to the elf, he mustered up a small amount of light on the palms of his hands. He placed them on the Queen's forehead but to little effect, his unfocused magic would not be enough, and not surprisingly as the Warden would have already done so if it would have been. This was something otherworldly. He had seen this type of interference in the mortal world on rare occasions.

"My queen, what can I do? What is wrong?! Is there anything I can do?"

Asking her was obviously pointless, she was beyond hearing a word he said and he clenched his fists wanting to pound the floor, was there a person he could find to help with this? This supernatural ailment that had robbed his Queen momentarily of her royal stature and reduced her back to the young girl she really was at heart. He understood that feeling, trying to toughen up for a world that thought you weren't ready yet. He knew it all too well.

As her cheeks glistened with tears of agony he wanted to throw up his hands in frustration, her pain was as obvious as his lack of ability to do anything about it. What in the God's names was wrong?

She had heard Ryver, however it took some moments before she could even respond. Turning her gaze from the Wood Elf, to the angelic being whom had just entered the room who began to try his best to help her, Serenity smiled. It was nice that he was trying but the pain of her punishment was to remind her that peace was the only outcome she should aim for, although not at the cost of her people’s lives.

“Calm yourself, please, Sir Vierfort,” she said softly in a reassuring manner, the pain easing off with his attempts although it was still present “it is beyond anyone’s control I am afraid… When the God of Darkness and I were cast from the heavens and… given mortal form, such things had never been done before. We are… trapped. We remember bits and pieces of our past lives, things we should not see, feelings we should not feel… It’s hard to explain, but it is too much for this human mind to take sometimes. He and I are alike in the sense that we are not stable.”

How she wished that she could have a normal, simple life; no duties, no restrictions and no further pain from being confined. While she might be a goddess, she was still born a human and had the same wants and desires as any other girl of her age. Friends. Family. Fun. Serenity managed to hold off the sharp, shooting sensation through her skull, enough to unsteadily find her feet, rising out of Kivan’s cradling grasp. Placing her hand on her desk for a little additional support, she tried her best to stand without assistance because she did not like to appear weak in front of those whom she was meant to protect. “I shall be fine for now, I think…” she said with a slight nod “I thank you both for trying to take care of me. Sir Vierfort, if you could perhaps remain with me until the location of General Zakira has been discovered? I would not like to take another turn and be alone.”
