Serenity had become engrossed in politics again, so the concerned nymph returned to her home, The Crystal Lake. Frich gazed upon the statue of the Elven King Sorin, the statue had been made before the Emperor’s fall from grace and rebellion against the Kingdom of Light. Frichassa sighed as she looked around, the gentle breeze playing with her flowing hair. Approaching the water, her feet treading the damp earth, she felt as though something big was about to happen, and it bothered her that she couldn’t tell precisely what. Walking into the lake and emerging herself within it’s waters, she swam out to the statue, looking up at it in curiosity. “What happened my King?” she whispered “What turned you so bitter against our beloved Goddess? She said she would look after you… You didn’t have to leave… Why did you have to rip our people in twain?” A hurtful look crossed her face as she slowly floated back from the statue, her hair slowly moving around her, almost the same hue as the water. She had witnessed the scene between Sorin and Serenity, the day he was removed from the throne. Frich wished that peace could be found between them but she knew it was unlikely. It was common knowledge that the Emperor’s temper was foul. “I hope Serenity will be finished with business soon…” Frich said to herself “I do rather hate it when I’m alone here… Even if that is most of the time.” Another sigh escaped the nymph as she dove beneath the surface of the water. Looking along the Lake’s bed, she found a silver coin. She couldn’t quite make out what it was due to the light, so she rose once more to the surface. |

Lorthos hummed merrily to himself as she strolled around the Crystal Lake on a return journey from the forest he so often frequented, heading back to the palace. In his left hand he clutched a few red roses, plucked from the forest as a gift for the Goddess. Thankfully the elves hadn't been around to witness such a thing. They'd more likely than not string him up for it. Stopping for a moment to admire the pure waters of the lake he took a deep breath, basking in the peaceful afterglow of the environment around him. Which was of course broken by a rather insistent buzzing near his right ear. Reaching out with surprising speed he batted at a section of thin air, though this only intensified the sound. "What?" He uttered quietly, staring at a space of what would appear to anyone else to be thin air. He paused for a moment, still staring. "A nymph? Where?" He asked as he turned his head to look out across the water, spying a small disturbance on the other side of the lake. |

Hearing a very quiet voice due to the distance, Frich turned in the direction of Lorthos. She knew the half elf from the palace, he was one of Serenity’s handmaiden’s son. The nymph thought of approaching but then stopped, contemplating if he would even recognise her. Swimming closer, slowly as to not alarm him, she stopped by a rock a few feet from his location. He was always such a strange boy, nice enough though and quite devoted to Serenity. She smiled at the roses, giggling and letting slip “Are those for me? How sweet of you!” Frich was clearly playing, she knew who they were for. “You seldom come out this way… Is something on your mind?” she asked, looking curiously to the half elf. The nymph was shy, but he had come along during one of her more lonely moments so she felt confident enough to approach. |

Lorthos smirked to himself as the nymphs comment, looking down at the roses himself. They were in fact a gift for the Goddess. Her favourites if he remembered correctly... Though the girl that sat on the throne currently was far gone from the woman he'd known in his boyhood. He smiled kindly at Frischassa. "Nothing on my mind, no. Just returning from the forest on my way to the Palace." He said in his usual charming tone. Plucking a rose from the bundle in his left hand, he offered it to the nymph despite the indignant buzzing in his right ear. "You however seem quite lonely my dear. Out here all by yourself." |

“Sometimes it is a bit lonely… But when you have lived as long as I have, all the days seem to bleed into one. It is why I love it when Our Lady calls for me. Being in the palace… It allows me to be somewhere different yet not too far from here.” she said with a weak smile, accepting the flower from him. She couldn’t help but blush although it faded quickly with the thought that if she was too far from the water, she would die. It left social activities on a backburner, as well as exploration which was something she had always wanted to do. “What is the forest like? I have never really ventured that far…” she asked, tilting her head in curiosity. |
