A wind gusts from the northeast, bringing the sharp tang of the salt water with it. Circe stares outside of her home, thinking of heading to the beach, imagining herself plunging into the water and swimming past that invisible barrier that stops her from heading toward humanity. Stroking the mane of the lion beside her she sighs, wishing there was a potion strong enough to unbind her from this hell hole. Paradise to her was getting off this island, not staying on it. Each time a ship-wreck happens near her home, she prays capturing another would allow her to leave, but so far, that plan had no avail to her. She turned her head and gazed at her lion, once a man who was ship-wrecked on her island, now her faithful companion, offering up his diminishing life for a longer life as the mighty ruler of the island.

“You believe I should get off the island, don’t you Christopher?” Circe ran her small hand down his mane as he shook his head in response. She smiled before she raised her head up and glanced over to the other women in the room. Along the way, sailors who have crashed have brought along women, who would much rather be on the island then starving to death. In exchange for food and shelter, she gets their help with her potions and her everyday chores. Raising her glass, she ordered one of her girls to pour her some ambrosial wine. Fixing herself upon her seat, she intertwined her legs once more, and concentrated upon the twilight docks, in hopes to astral project to see those who were planning on shipping out. She was in need of more company; those on the island were starting to bore her. She took a deep breath and sipped her wine as she steadied her breathing and allowed the ambrosial wine to lull her to a deep trance like state.

Humming to herself, she tried to focus on the looks of the docks. The way things smelled, looked, and appeared to those constantly there. She wished she could see it in real life, the way the dock swayed with the water and the way the people prepared their ships. For once she wished she could see a ship before it was crashed.

Holding onto his pet tightly as they disappeared, the sensation which rushed through the bodies of the pair was like that of falling; wind caused their hair to flicker and whip about them. The sound that seemed to follow them, increasingly growing louder to match the amount of time which passed was like a high pitched tin whistle, perhaps a slightly rusted one as the sound was not consistent. Erik opened his eyes briefly to gaze down at the girl in his arms. He knew better than to try to take a look around, however even after the few times they had done this, curiosity still had a firm hold on her.

As the girl looked around, she would have seen a black abyss. There was literally nothing; no light, no floor, no people rushing by, no ground coming towards them as they fell… Nothing. It was enough to strike fear of the unknown into even the bravest of hearts, and isolation into the most doted upon of souls. The wind that whipped past them was becoming ice cold now, causing the young witch in his arms to tremble. He cared little for her weakness, closing his eyes as he could not avert his gaze yet he felt disgusted to see her so weak.

Although it was his magic which was causing this to happen, he couldn’t help but feel sick as they, without little warning came to a halt. This momentary stop did not last long however, as they were almost thrown in another direction. As they moved, this time it felt as though they were ascending. The pair weren’t slowing down; faster and faster, until the pair were almost blinded by the sudden surge of light as they appeared upon Circe’s island. Going from the darkest abyss back to the real world took a moment’s worth of adjustment for the couple.

The obsidian haired god glanced around for a moment before unwrapping his arms from his still terrified pet. She did not let go of him until realising they were firmly stood on ground. The ground was not exactly what either of them had expected to be; sand. Erik sent calculating glances around the immediate area; the place was familiar, not that he had been here before.

Rin: My master, where… where are we?

Erik: I am unsure, remain silent… We may be in danger here.

Circe’s concentration on the dock came to a sudden, earth shattering halt when others seemed to crash land on her island. It hit her like a brick wall and made her lose her breath for a moment. Christopher’s eyes widened and he nuzzled her chest before he perked up his ears and she nodded toward him in a quick movement. Christopher bolted up on all fours and took off along the shore, smelling for, what could be, his next meal or more company for his Queen.

Circe stood up and moved toward the small nook that held her potions and elixirs. If there were beings on her island, that meant she could have more people to talk to, and quite possibly, it could be her time to leave this god-forsaken island. Moving toward her ambrosial wine she grinned and pursed her lips before dipping her finger into the blood stained liquid, she licked it clean with a smile forming on her face dark enough to send a chill down the most powerful of creatures.

Once her potions were ready she aligned them at the table she had already set. Turning her gaze toward the women she had on the island she smiled and nodded to them to start the preparations of supper. If she had guests, she was sure they would be famished and she was never one to treat a guest poorly. Moving down onto the sand she watched Christopher moved quickly in search of the beings. She closed her eyes and with extreme precision projected her voice across her land, using her soothing, seductive voice to bid her visitors welcome, welcome to Circe's Island.

"Greetings." She said across the island.

"And welcome."

The Dark God's "favourite pet".
Rin gasped as they appeared on the island. The sudden rush of colour to her eyes was almost painful, causing her to squint. She almost stumbled, going weak at the knees with the landing however Erik’s grasp on her prevented her from falling. Once she was confident enough, she finally brought up the courage to break the silence, and spoke; “My master, where… where are we?”

“I am unsure, remain silent…” he ordered “We may be in danger here.”

Nodding slightly, she at last realised he had let go of her and moved to stand slightly behind him; her place. She quickly changed her mind about this as she could hear the thumping of padded paws approaching rapidly. Her one, hazel eye focused on a lion approaching them from the far left, having assuming it descended from over one of the sand dunes which had prevented them from spotting it earlier. With this, she instinctively moved in front of Erik, defensively. The lack of a second eye caused her to be unsure about how close (or far) this lion actually was. Her eye’s gaze was ripped from the golden figure of the lion and began to dart about in every direction, looking for the source of the silky smooth voice which echoed across the island.

“Who goes there?! Show yourself at once!” the panic stricken girl ordered. The fact she had taken such a tone was testament to the concern she had. It was so much harder to protect her master from something she couldn’t see. As well as a huge cat. Rin wasn’t sure if the source of the voice could actually hear her, but it was worth shouting back anyway. It would perhaps draw the person out.

So naive were young witches. She could sense the magic in the one visitor, as she looked through the eyes of her lion companion. Christopher halted a few feet from them, letting out a loud, powerful roar; it was a reminder to them that they weren’t in control here, as well as a signal to his own master that he had located them. Circe grinned as she looked through his eyes at the two; she knew because of the protective stance of the young girl, that this man was of huge importance, which could come of great help to her current state. She let her voice project still, letting out a light laugh.

“I am the owner of this land, and as of right now, I will be the one answering the questions.” She said as she then projected her image in front of them, her body remained standing on the sand, protecting her from these visitors. With a smile as lithe as her form, she bowed gently and motioned to her lion.

“This is Christopher. He was once a sailor upon the sea, but alas wanted to remain in my presence for all eternity. “Christopher nuzzled her hand before eyeing the visitors cautiously.

“You must forgive Chris…he doesn’t trust easily.” She said as she tilted her head and motioned back to where she had come from.

“Please, I insist you accompany me for dinner. Hospitality is the most important thing when it comes to guests.” She said her words laced with sweetness but deep down in her core she had other plans for these two.
