The Low City [General] |

The Low City
The Lowest Tier of Terasine is appropriately the worst to live in. The bulk of the city's population lives here, however. The Low, which has various names to citizens, is characterized by tall buildings, tight conditions, and mostly artificial light, even during the day, due to the higher tiers blocking the sun. The claustrophobia produces a level of malcontent in the citizens. A love of decency does not reside in the Low. The police, along with the occasionally active Sentinels struggle against the rising preponderance of drugs and violence, and the growing Sleepwalker population. Most of the markets sell contraband weapons and modifications.

The Nexus [Low City - North East] |

Nexus
The Nexus is the gathering place of not only the stranger citizens of the Low City, but also the general populace. Decorated by bright neon lights, the congested streets, tall buildings, and the overbearing shadow of the higher tiers instill in most the same sense of claustrophobia that the rest of the bottom personifies. However, the police and Sentinels are more abundant here than anywhere else in Terasine, keeping the streets safe and clear of Sleepwalkers.
Navigation through the Nexus is aided by graffiti tags which direct the way to most of the popular spots. More obscure tags, with a bit of skill, can lead to shadier places. Though safe, no sector of the Low is without its secrets.

Milo's
A small black building, identified by a bright green sign which reads "Milo's". As a bar, Milo's is better than most. The interior is black, lit by more green overhanging light bulbs. The shadows make the place seem bigger than it is, but its cozy enough for the amount of people that come that way. On a friday night, there's a decent amount of fuss over the ping pong tables in the back, and the leather seated booth by the nicotine stained window.

The Asylum [Low City - South West] |

The Asylum
A series of anonymous buildings, big and small, laid out in a nearly unnavigable maze of narrow alleyways, wide open spaces, dead ends and endless paths. The wreckage is nearly apocalyptic, and it isn't rare to stumble upon a body or two. This is the one sector in all of Terasine where not a single Sentinel or police can be found. The only permanent residents are an elite class of Hackers, who have used various terminals scattered across the area to create multiple interlocking virtual realities, each different from the next, some dangerous, others safe. Only those who know the safe paths, which change almost weekly, can navigate safely. The terminals automatically connect to any neurological chipset in range, and those without are easily lost in the expansive ruins.

The Labyrinth [Low City - South East] |

Labyrinth
A massive open marketplace stretching across most of the south east sector, the Labyrinth is called such on account of its nature. Shops selling everything imaginable, from apples to flesh, dead or alive form an almost inescapable path deeper into the labyrinth. Some people stay in the rotation for days, trading until satisfied, and then struggle to escape before anyone steals their goods.
It is rumored that all of the nonmilitary energy weapons in the city are made in the Labyrinth by a number of mechanics and engineers, who sell their weapons to specific shops, a rumor that even the Sentinels have been unable to follow.
