By now you're probably wondering exactly what the hell this forum is for since it's named 'Mecha.' Well, you could easily know IF YOU READ THE FORUM DESCRIPTION, but you probably didn't. So let's cut to the chase.
This forum allows you to make your own mechas/customize your own mechas.

Here's a little history on mecha development (That I'll add to the main history later in a more awesome manner.).
After the dismantling of Terracida and the world was finally at peace, the world had a major breakthrough in robotics and technology. The thousands of engineers and scientists from other nations finally spread far and wide, unhindered by the Grand War that had once restricted their freedom to travel the world. The sharing of ideas had occurred, the world continually learned new ideas and the accomplishments set forth by this new age seemed to grow infinitely. But the most greatest accomplishment was the development of successful bipedal movement for machines. These machines at first were very simple ones, carrying materials to carpenters and back to help with rebuilding. But as time passed, these machines grew more and more advanced, eventually becoming full humanoid mechas, increasing the rebuilding process tenfold.
Not one plan from Terracida leaked out. It, like Renatus, was also one of the best kept secrets in the world.
The people never imagined using these developments for war, but when URR finally stormed the world with the Terramehli, they had to do just that. No other armored vehicle could stand against them.

Here are the Mecha Unit Types and prefixes.

-Prefixes-
MP-Mass Production (Examples: MPGUMA, MPOLA...)
MP mechas have little to no customization to them at all, aside from a paint job and a small side arm. For a mecha to be an MP, just stick this prefix in front or after the unit type name.

Px-Protoype (Examples: PxGUMA, PxOLA...)
The Px prefix stands for mechas that are still in the testing stages. Prototypes tend to have a lot more added to them than normal mechas, but are also equally unstable or have untested properties about them. These are also very limited in number and are only deployed if they are really believed to turn the tide of battle even in the untested state.
Or if they're stolen coughcoughGundamcough.

RI, RII, RIII, RIV-Revision I, II, III, IV, etc...
This prefix belongs to a unique mecha that has been upgraded once or multiple times, or is a completely new upgraded version of a previous mecha. An example would be RI Terracida, or RIV GUMA.

Cx-Cathedral
A prefix indicating a mecha is in it's final form, the last upgrade intended for the mecha, or the last mecha off a certain production line. Some producers name their most prized mechas with this prefix.

-Unit Classes-
GUMA-General Use Mobile Armament
A GUMA is a humanoid mecha. That's it. There isn't anything special about it aside from having superb maneuverability and having the ability to carry around weapons and use them properly, along with thrusters to allow them to fly/hover. The big thing they have over other mechas is their compatibility with energy weapons and their ability to power them. There are many different variations of GUMAs, such as ones intended for severe cold or heat, or delving deep underwater.

OLA-Orbital Launched Armament
The OLAs were originally intended for launching into space with a human pilot, go over an intended point with missiles, and launch them from orbit, and then re-enter the atmosphere with a deploy-able heat shield. However, there had been meeting in space before with other enemy OLAs, forcing the development of space-class combat mechas. Unlike GUMAs, OLAs are solar powered along with a battery for special scenarios.

TERRA-Tranquil Edict of Rebellion's Righteous Armament
The Terra class are on a level all on their own. These have the ability to take surrounding metals around them and make any sort of weapon they want out of them, and even levitate it. This means they could have numerous amounts of firearms, melee weapons, and modifying some other poor sap's weapon or armor as well all at once. Terra class mechas do NOT have the MP or Cx prefixes (These are written out as Terramehly and Terracida)
The main rules for a TERRA mech are..
1. Terracida's and Terramehli main computer is the human brain of the one piloting them. Of course the robots themselves have an OS, but they uses the brains processing power. How does it do this? It uses the human brain for mass calculations, meaning the robot will be placing thousands of calculus-level equations in the subconscious parts of the human brain and re-uses them.
Of course, the pilots themselves will never know these are in their brain, but this will create certain mental side effects.
2. Anyone that pilots Terracida and/or a Terramehly will start to develop a mental condition due to how Terracida and Terramehli use it's processing power, the pilot's brain. These will start out as headaches, migraines, etc. But if the mechas are piloted repeatedly by the same pilot, they will start to develop weird things like split personalities, addictions to actually piloting, and more. Very rarely will a pilot mentally remain unscathed with only a few minor headaches after frequent piloting.
3. How is it powered? By the Sun's and planet's magnetism. In other words, infinite power. It can fly by using it's core (A very complex magnet) by switching polarities, like, a million times to slingshot itself over and over again to make it fly within a planet's magnetic field.
4. Energy Distribution. Of course it practically has infinite energy, but the equations stuck in a pilot's head aren't always just for movement, weapon crafting, etc. It's also for distributing the energy around the mech. And like it or not, somehow the personality of the pilot will affect Terracida's energy output. For example, A bold and courageous person will exert a lot of Terracida's energy at key moments (While at other moments the mecha will simply be a sitting duck) or while a calculating person will have perfect energy distribution at all times (Which probably means that although they'll never be caught without energy, but it also means they won't be able to use more energy when they need it.)
5. When piloting Terracida or a Terramehly made from URR, the pilot will occasionally see memories of two children known as Aethe and Eve Ettas, whose fates were ended early due to being used as test subjects for the production of the Terramehli.

<More to be added as I think of them or others think of them, or when people bug me enough to add some in.>

Templates!

Unit type: Select one above and define if it's a Mass Production or not by slapping MP on it.
Name: What are you going to call your massive machine of destruction?
Height: About 10-150 meters is acceptable.
Power source: Magnetic, solar, electrical generator
Weapons: Be as detailed/simplified as you wish; just give us a general idea of what you're thinking of.
Optional Equipment: Stuff like scopes, spare power generators, cloaking equipment
Appearance: OPTIONAL. Picture or description is fine. Just don't provide any OBVIOUS rips coughcoughgundamcough

If simplicity isn't your thing, feel free to make use of this one instead.

Mech Name: Name your massive humanoid metal crafted robot of destruction.
Faction: What country does this thing fight for?
Unit Type: Unit type and prefixes go here ( MPGUMARII, PxOLA or something.)
Known Pilot(s): Many? Few? Everyone? One? A angsty teenager?

Total Height: Height conscience much?
Max Weight: Just don't scream when you stand on the scale.
Power Source: Magnets? Hydrogen? Solar? Nuclear? Electric?
Power Output: What the hell is a gigawatt?!
Accommodation: How many pilots are in it at one time? Do those pilots dress in different colors and call upon the megazord?
Armor: Will my foot hurt if I kick your robot in frustration?
Appearance: Optional lolololol

Weapons: People will raise eyebrows when they read reports on your enemies' deaths.
Optional Equipment: Stuff that isn't built into your mecha, but also aren't weapons.

You know, as this was posted, all of my mechs were made with a template I had randomly thought up. This includes Granzon as well..

Yeah, I noticed. I was too lazy to enforce the new template though. =/

At the rate my template is spreading, I'm surprised you haven't had half of a mind to just use the old one of mine as well. I personally see it as more organized and detailed. But to each their own, simplicity is always good.
