Alright, whether you watched the WWDC keynote, or heard things on Twitter or other means of news, you can infer that Apple is planning an iOS 5! So, whats different in this release over last years 4.0? Well, in this posting, I'm going to go over my ideas and thoughts and then you can tell me what you think of it!

1) The new notification center is a seamless addiction to the iOS. Instead of having the push popup interrupting games and other apps. A small pop up will appear from the top of the screen showing you what the notification is and for what app it is. To view the center, all you have to do to drag the top of the task-bar down to reveal the center. Puch it up to hide it again. Notifications also appear on the lockscreen when your iDevice is locked.

2) The new Twitter integration through out the OS is great to see. You can attach pictures to your Tweet, post articles, anything with a touch of a button. To see that it is all in the OS is nice to see.

3) iMessage seems like a great add to the OS. This allows users of the iPad and the iPod to text using the iPhones messaging platform. It will allow users to message each other back and forth, see when the other is typing, group texting, and more. All messages are encrypted too!

3) The pinch to zoom on the camera seems like a good add also. Allowing users to zoom and focus with a quick motion of the fingers.

4) Now, you dont have to sync your iDevice up to a PC in order to use it for the first time! Once you turn it on, you are introduced to a welcome screen that can allow you to set up your device on the device itself! No more tethering!

5) Wireless Sync with iTunes. In iOS 5, you will now be able to sync your iPod to iTunes daily with a daily backup. So you can sync your iPod while you are sleeping and have a fully charged iPod, backed up, and synced before you wake up! What a nice feature right?

Thats all I have for now, I will be sure to update this when I get more info and re-watch the keynote! I hope you learned some of the few of 200 new feature in iOS 5. Thanks!
