IMPORTANT: Tone Project. Your ENTIRE group must have their paper complete with picture, quote, and tone sentence taped together by the end of your period on January 24th or the highest grade you can earn in the class will be a B. If you do not complete the assignment, it will be impossible to receive an A in the class. MAKE SURE YOUR PARTNERS WORK ON IT TOO! Five Sentence Paragraph. Select a question from Romeo and Juliet I.i-ii and write a paragraph on it in your interactive notebook, or if you forgot it at school, do it on a separate piece of paper and tape it in. The question can be found at Mr. Moberly's google site, but I'll list them here to make it easier: 1. Do you believe in fate? 2. What are modern examples of people having to put up with derision? [Note: Derision means ridicule, or being mocked by someone] 3. Which common gestures come to mind as insulting or purposefully aggravating? 4. Analyze the opening scene in terms of Shakespeare's speech, "The Seven Ages of Man." What instances of the ages indicated in the play are being acted out in Act I, Scene i? [Note: If you don't feel like reading all of that: Compare the stages or just a single stage to a character's action in Romeo and Juliet at the very beginning.] Also, no, you didn't have to read A Separate Peace at all this weekend. |
