Deceit Under the Stream; The Untold Story

This is a story that was lost to fate. Nobody alive shall ever know of it, for the only person that could have passed it down…. is dead. Killed by the same thing that killed this story: Fate.

Bralai.
To the ignorant observer, it is a wonderful paradise of green and wind. Its natural beauty and its overwhelming landscapes could only have been formed by one thing: The Life Stream. The pillar of all worlds, which has chosen to grace this one planet under its direct protection with a purity of form and essence not seen anywhere else. Beings from all over the multiverse dream of living in a place as magnificent as this.

This is a lie.
In actuality, the planet known as Bralai is a shameful dump. The image of cleanliness and utopia it shows is nothing more than a ruse, a disguise, a facade it puts up to hide the truth from outsiders. Because the world feels shame.
The Stream needs several places to deposit its negative energies, the waste it produces from consuming material to keep the universe in balance. Bralai is one of those places. Punished, in the form of starfalls and demons. The enhancement to its natives’ bodies is actually a curse that has been masqueraded by the planet as a good thing, and the lovely areas within this world are just a layer of prettiness put over the real thing, and all because of Bralai’s shame.
The people know this. Some learn to deal with it and continue on as if it didn’t matter. Some cry and regret they weren’t born somewhere else, somewhere less tainted. And some… some don’t want to accept the truth, and live their lives as if the fake Bralai was the real Bralai.

It is no wonder that fate would decide to kill off a person like the one it did. For this person was in this last group of oblivious people. And now, she has taken her story with her back into the Life Stream.

"Grateful the world is for your grace,
and so, with love, your gifts we embrace.
Fatescape fireworks on display,
we honor the Stream since the first day."
