(+Attack) Name: Johan Oresso Alias: none Age: 17 Element: Wind Race: Nobody Home World: The Land of Dragons Job: Monk, HC Operative B Weapon: Chakra Chakra Claw Kunai + Shuriken fist and feet HC Corps Ring Magic: none Summons: Feilong Chibi Tobi Special Techniques: Chakra Heal - By calling his Chakra, Johan can heal a moderate amount of damage as well as curing himself from all status ailments. Can be used up to five times in a battle. Focus - By focusing his energy, Johan can double the power of his next Technique. Can be used two times to triple the power. Obviously, Johan can't attack on the same turn he uses Focus. Wind Armor - A layer of wind that protects Johan's body. It repels thrown objects, ranged techniques and level 1 & 2 spells, except for attacks that have Fire in them, which does double damage by feeding of the air. Protects Johan for five turns and afterwards has a three turn cooldown. Pressure Points - By hitting several pressure points, Johan can paralyze the opponent for one turn. Poison Smoke Bomb - Throws a smoke bomb to confuse the enemy. The smoke is also toxic, causing someone who breathes it to lose a small amount of health for three turns. Shadow Stalker - Johan hides in the shadows for one turn, making him invisible to the naked eye, before reappearing to launch a surprise attack. Note that he can still be hit when invisible. Has a three turn cooldown. Sky Uppercut - An uppercut that releases a blast of wind capable of knocking someone a few feet back. Strong Punch - A chakra empowered punch that can break through puny things like Reflect, Reflera and other defensive techniques. Flurry - Using his Chakra to enchance his attack speed, Johan delivers eight punches in only one post. Fast but not powerful. Drop Kick - Johan jumps in the air and falls down on his opponent. Then he kicks them in the face. Low Kick - A kick aimed at the opponent's legs which, if succesful, can cause him/her to lose balance. Triple Kick - Three fast kicks done in quick succesion. If one kick hits, the others are unavoidable (unless it was the last kick). Air Cutter - Johan takes a deep breath and infuses the air he breathes out with his own Chakra. This launches a blast of razor sharp wind in the form of a scythe to slash the opponent. Magic Is Cheap - Johan fires a blast of his own Chakra at the opponent which, if it hits, causes a disturbance in the body of the target making him incapable of using Spells for three turns. Has a five turn cooldown. Joint Techniques: Fire Storm (used with Feilong) - Feilong uses Dragon's Breath while Johan exhales a stream of wind. The air feeds the flames making this attack stronger than a -ga spell but weaker than an Ultimate Spell. Dragon Kung Fu Mode (also with Feilong) - By combining with Feilong, Johan can use a martial arts style known as Dragon Kung Fu. When in this mode a large Chinese dragon-shaped tattoo appears on his left arm, with the head on the dorsal side of his hand, the body on his forearm and the tail reaching all the way to his throat, his cheek and ending just above his eye. This form lasts for 7 turns or until Johan decides to bring out Feilong and end the Dragon Kung Fu mode. Dragon Kung Fu Techniques Abilities: Non-magic creature - The character has no MP and cannot gain these by any mean, but his physical stats are improved. + 5 Special technique slot. Guard - Blocks a single enemy attack with a perfect parry with your weapon 100% no matter what. ( Usable up to 3 times in one thread ) Dodge Roll LV2 - You are good at performing a dodge roll to avoid attacks. Aerial Dodge LV2 - You are not easy to hit when in the air. Quick Run LV2 - You can run even faster than before! You can outrun any animal now! High Jump LV2 - You can jump even higher than before! Jumping over trees is easy now! Glide LV2 - You can glide through the air at an O.K speed now. Protera - Reduces the damage you take by 25%. Satchel - Always have mundane transportable items at hand. You start each thread with Potion x3, Ether x3, and Phoenix Down x3 True Corridor of Darkness - Allows the use of Corridors of Darkness to travel between worlds. Limit Breaks: Knuckle Sandwich - Johan charges at his opponent and uses a Strong Punch to break through any defences before launching a barrage of twenty fast punches. These are normal punches but still quite powerful. He is a martial artist after all. One with the Wind - Johan's entire body turns into wind (he's still visible) making him immune to all attacks except for Limit Breaks. Downside is he can't damage anyone either. Lasts three turns. Fall to Despair - The despair and emptyness of not having a heart completely takes over Johan's body. This triples his power and speed at the cost of his sanity. He'll attack anyone close to him, friends and enemies alike. Lasts three turns. Character Description: Spoiler: click to toggle Biography: Johan was born in The Land of Dragons and soon after his birth he was abandoned in front of a vihara, a Buddhist monastery. The head monk, who had a strange liking for foreign names, decided to name the child "Johan Oresso". Ever since he was a child Johan knew he was different than the people of this world since they were all Mongoloid while he was a Caucasian. When the monks taught him of the existence of other worlds, something they were aware of but which they considered unimportant since it didn't affect them, he was convinced that he came from one of those worlds. In the monastery Johan learned the Buddhist philosophy as well as some sort of martial arts known only to the monks. Every day he would train to become stronger. One day, when he was tired of all the training, he asked the head monk why he should learn how to fight when Buddhism preached peace. To this the head monk answered: "In peace prepare for war, in war prepare for peace." Johan pondered about this a long time and is still trying to decipher the true meaning of it. And so seventeen years passed relative quietly. Johan rarely left the monastery but deep inside he hoped that one day he would get the opportunity to go to another world. One day, the monastery was attacked by ink-black creatures with yellow beady eyes. A battle between the creatures and the monks ensued. Despite warnings from the head monk to hide until the battle was over, Johan joined the fight too. He just couldn't miss this one chance to test his skills in a real battle. But there were simply too many of them and the monks were overwhelmed. The last thing Johan remembered about the fight was one of the beings stabbing his chest with its claws. The next moment he woke up in a place he had never seen before. It didn't look like the monastery. It didn't even look like any of the places he had visited before. And when he saw the sign saying "Welcome to Traverse Town", he realised he had finally found another world. But there was something wrong with him. He had this empty feeling inside him that he couldn't get rid of. Personality: Like all Nobodies, Johan can't feel emotions. Since he is unaware of what he really is he still thinks he can but he is constantly plagued by a feeling of uncertainty and emptiness, which he tries to hide by being cheerful. He could be considered anti-social since he dislikes groups and prefers to be on his own but this is actually a result of his inability to feel anything; he is afraid of being called a freak by other people. Johan dislikes violence and believes every situation can be peacefully solved. Although this doesn't prevent him from fighting back if someone attacks him or from bashing people who like to use violence just because they think it is fun. He has a strong sense of self-preservation and will flee from a fight as soon as he believes it is hopeless. Johan also has the weird habit of talking to himself. RP Sample: Somewhere in a dark alley in Traverse Town, a boy laid on the ground asleep. He looked seventeen, maybe eighteen years old. Slowly the boy awoke and stood up. He immediately grabbed his head. "Urgh, headache. What happened? Where am I?" He looked up to see a sign saying "Welcome to Traverse Town". "Traverse Town? Never heard of. Well, that answers one question. But how did I get here?" Johan closed his eyes and tried to remember what happened. Slowly the memories came back. Flashback time! Black creatures were attacking the monastery. The monks were fighting them and of course Johan was there too. Finally he had a chance to use the martial arts techniques he had learned. He slammed one of the Shadows against the wall causing it to dissapear in a puff of darkness. Meanwhile another Shadow sneaked up on him and before Johan had noticed, the being of darkness had already stabbed his chest with its claws. The excruciating pain caused him to pass out. The next moment he woke up in the alley. Johan quickly looked at his chest and to his relief he had no wounds. When he looked back up he saw that while he was having the flashback he had walked all the way to a plaza. He noticed that this town didn't look like any of the towns he had visited before. And then he realised he had somehow ended up on another world, his wish had been granted! Johan tried to feel happy but he couldn't. He couldn't feel anything. He tried to be angry at the beings that had attacked the monastery but he couldn't. He tried to be sad for the monks that had died in the battle but he couldn't. He didn't understand what had happened to him. "Maybe a good joke will help. Let's see... Ah, this one will do: Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson were going camping. They pitched their tent under the stars and went to sleep. Sometime in the middle of the night Holmes woke Watson up and said: "Watson, look up at the stars, and tell me what you see." Watson replied: "I see millions and millions of stars." Holmes said: "And what do you deduce from that?" Watson replied: "Well, if there are millions of stars, and if even a few of those have planets, it’s quite likely there are some planets like earth out there. And if there are a few planets like earth out there, there might also be life." And Holmes said: "Watson, you idiot, it means that somebody stole our tent." Johan then burst into laughter but the emptyness remained. "What's wrong with me?" He asked himself. The only thing he could feel was a weird itching in his arm. The boy raised his hand and suddenly a portal of darkness appeared in front of him. "What the... How did I do that?" Johan carefully examined the Corridor of Darkness and came to the conclusion he had no idea what it was but it appeared to be some sort of portal. "I wonder where it leads to. Maybe I should just stay here, it could be dangerous." He thought for a second then shrugged. "Curiousity killed the cat but I'm no cat." And with that Johan walked through the Corridor of Darkness. Field Owner: Johan Oresso Field Name: Pagoda Field Size: Small Field Description: A large five-story Buddhist tower. Typical for the tower is that it is tiered and that each floor has its own roof with large and multiple eaves. Every floor of the Pagoda is smaller than the one below. In case you're wondering, the lenghts for each floor are: 200 feet for the first floor, 160 feet for the second, 120 feet for the third, 80 feet for the fourth and 50 feet for the fifth floor. You start your fight on the first floor and as the fight continues, you are automatically transported to the next floor. Each floor has its own special effect. You can't smash through the ceiling and move to the next floor, since the entire building is unbreakable. Oh, and don't worry about your massive dragon crushing everyone, because all summons shrink down to human-size. Floor 1: Turn 1-4. Effect: In the center of the room are a dozen statues of Buddhist monks that attack anyone who has more than 80% health. They attack with martial arts (thus with their fists and feet). These statues can't be broken but their attacks can still be dodged, blocked, negated etc. Floor 2: Turn 5-8. Effect: Nobody can use Limit Breaks (and don't even think about using one because you're a Nobody...). Floor 3: Turn 9-12. Effect: Pick one of your Summons. During the 4 turns you're on this floor, that Summon stays out and those turns don't add up to the maximum amount of turns your Summon can stay out. And even if you already summoned him before, you can summon him once again. All Summons dissapear once you are teleported to the next floor. Floor 4: Turn 13-16. Effect: The power of all Special Techniques is doubled. Floor 5: Turn 17 and onward. Effect: You can't heal yourself. |
