A corridor of darkness opened up and a hooded figure walked onto the rocky surface of the Underworld Arena. A sign up book appeared in a blaze of fire and smoke in front of the hooded figure. He brushed his hand over the surface of the pages, burning the name Luxord onto its page. As the sign up book disappeared once again, Luxord stepped forwards reaching into his pocket. and pulling out a letter. The letter told him Thane had challenged him to a fight, the letter from Thane himself. Luxord crushed the letter and threw it into the abyss below him, waiting for his opponent. |

Thane rise up out of the abyss holding the crushed letter. He was much different now, than Luxord had seen him last time. He was older, more muscled though still the same height. His silver hair dropped below his shoulders a bit, although one thing remained the same, he still had that crazy aura of lightning energy around him. Thane slowly rose up, smoothing the letter across his knee. "Jeez Luxord... I take the time to write a letter to you and what? You toss it over the edge of a cliff!? Next time I'm just gonna kidnap you!!" |

"I never really appreciated letters Cablex," Luxord said. "Or is it Thane now. I forget." Luxord took down his hood and revealed his blonde hair and various piercings. Luxord drew his Fair Game to his hand and picked out one of the cards. Upon its back, it looked similar to that of the regular cards. On the face, however, lay a clock which was red in colour and the hand's moved, even if it is supposed to be a picture. "I prefer these as my sort of message giver." Luxord threw the card at Thane which would pierce his chest and subjecting him to Luxord's game. Upon their right hands would be a white number 40 with a black outline. "Now. Let us see if you have learnt the game well," Luxord said readying himself for battle. Luxord used Agega on Thane which would age him by 50 years, which, as long as he was young enough to begin with, slow him down to a crippling rate (3 posts). Luxord would then summon 4 Gambler's to the field. "Attack, my lesser brethren." The Gambler's would obey Luxord and proceed to hunt down the aged Thane with an array of card slashes and dice throwing. As a bonus, Luxord used Red 7 and threw two dice at Thane. After their attack, they would stop on the numbers 6 and 1, which totalled 7, giving Luxord a massive boost of power for a short time (4x power, 1 post). Luxord dashed across the arena using Quick Run LV4 and slashing at Thane with one of his giant cards. The increased power would surely cripple him and with the increased speed, would only increase the damage once more. Death Count: Luxord: 40 Thane: 40 [hp=1000/1000] MP: 19.5/20 OP: 1 Gamblers: 4/4 |

"You would rather me use cards? But... I can't fit a formal match request in a tiny card..." Thane said as the number 40 appeared on his hand. "Oh this again? Man Luxord can't you come... up... with..." Thane's limbs felt like they were being torn from the sockets as Luxord cast agega on him. He, in seconds went form age 27 to 77. The Hearltess hunched over as a few wrinkles appeared on his face. "Ah... that... yeah... that hurt a bit..." Thane said, dropping to the ground under the weight of his sword. He quickly pulled it off of his back and used it as a walking stick to prop himself up. Suddenly the gamblers would rush up at him, Thane could hardly move under the pain he was feeling. "Cuttin this one close..." With his free hand he quickly swung down, extending four fingers as he instantly summoned four of his Lightning Beasts. Wolf, Zed, Traverse and Vallei. The Lightning Bolts shout down, forming into beasts mid flight as they all slammed down on top of the gamblers. Then, as Luxord threw his dice, Thane simply dropped down behind his sword, (although slowly) as the dice, followed by Luxord, slammed into the sword. It was nearly blown out of his hands. "Ah... distraction!" Thane called out while raising one hand up to the side. Suddenly five of his Blitz Spears dashed out of Corridors of Darkness. The rushed out at Luxord, slicing at him with electrified weaponry. Meanwhile, the wolves would have made short work of the gamblers, after pouncing on them, Zed would have used Overwhelm tearing into the gambler's face.... area. Meanwhile Wolf would use Re/De-summon. Blasting up in a lightning before crushing his gambler under a powerful lightning bolt as he smashed back down. Traverse simply activated bodyguard, becoming heavier until she crushed the gambler. and finally Vallei would jab his claws through the gamblers face and rake downwards. |

Death Count: Luxord: 39 Thane: 39 Luxord laughed as Thane fell to his knees due to his increased age. "What were you saying Thane? Have I become too routine?" Luxord taunted. Thane then summoned his 4 wolf summons to take care of his Gambler's. Luxord laughed again. "You've become more hypocritical Thane. It was only a matter of time before you summoned those hairy beasts." After Luxord's attack, he had recoiled backwards to the centre of the arena. From there, 5 spears all appeared from no where and headed towards him. Luxord quickly drew a couple of cards and slashed upwards at the first 4 managing to deflect them out of the way. The 5th one got through and Luxord wasn't all too prepared. He managed to spin out of the way, but the spear still managed to slash across his arm. Electrical shocks burst through his nervous system making his limbs spasm out of control for a second before he then collapsed to his knee. "Damnit. I've gotten slower than last time," Luxord said smiling. He then let his smile fall as his 4 Gambler's were promptly destroyed. "Fair enough. We'll play it like that then." Luxord summoned another 10 Gambler's, 2 for each summon and 2 for Thane himself. They would attack at them but their main purpose would be for them to keep them away from Luxord. The Gambler of Fate then used Freezaga and used it to cover the arena in a sheet of ice. Every corner was covered in the frozen stuff and would capture the wolves and Thane in its icey grip (for 1 post). Luxord used Prescience on himself as a precaution and placed a large card under his feet to stop him from slipping on the surface. "You are at my whim Thane," Luxord said boldly. "I have easy access to fire and water magic. Any move you make that I deem too rash will give you a one way ticket down that abyss below." Death Count: Luxord: 38 Thane: 38 [hp=990/1000] MP: 18/20 Prescience: 1 |

As the wolves defeated their enemies they would instantly retreat to Thane's sides. Meanwhile his blitz spear heartless would vanish in the next instant. Thane slowly stood up, watching Luxord's gamblers close in. "Tch! Don't have a choice then...." Thane shook his head. "This is embarrassing Luxord!" He said as his wolves lashed out, just enough to keep the gamblers at bay. Suddenly everything around froze over, Thane stood there completely unable to move with all but his head frozen in ice. His wolves were in the same state, even they too hadn't escaped the ice. "Two grown men like ourselves, exerting ourselves for what? Glory in an arena of the dead?" Thane sighed. "..... I can't imagine a better way to spend my time." In the next moment a hug pillar of purple light shot down from the sky enveloping not Thane, but his Ravager blade. The ice around the blade shattered instantly as the powerful light ripped down. A few seconds later something dark and fast dashed out towards Luxord. It held a black shortsword and was in front of the gambler in about two seconds. The being suddenly stopped though, before attacking him. "Hey... so you forced Thane to summon me huh? Kind of a surprise really. "Ravage said, his blade pointed towards Luxord's neck. The demon of the Blade gestured back towards Thane. "He's a weakling though. I'm gonna kill you." Instead of slicing him though, Ravage, with his free hand, placed it palm out and smiled. "Black Blast." A huge wave of darkness exploded out of his palm, most likely blowing Luxord across the arena, and destroying most of the ice. Surprisingly though, he left Thane neck-deep in the ice. Death Count: Luxord: 37 Thane: 37 Luxord saw it all thanks to Prescience. A purple beam of light shooting down from the sky and breaking up some of the ice below them. Ravage had been summoned. After his little speech, Luxord used Cutting the Cards to block the huge attack which broke away all the surrounding ice leaving just the ice that Luxord had protected with his dome of cards and the ice surrounding Thane and his wolf summons. "You have a very polite summon here Thane," Luxord said laughing and jumping backwards out of range of Ravage. "And you were the one who challenged me. You knew very well we would be two grown men fighting to the death, except you're still looking a little too old for me. My Agega seemed to have worked a little too well." Luxord drew two cards to his hands. "Alright I think it's about time for a real game," Luxord said as he spun in place turning into a card. He fell to the floor and 19 more cards appeared from underneath it and covered the arena with them. 1 of the cards was Luxord himself while 2 of the cards would damage however hit them. There was also 1 time card which would give Thane more time if he found it. "Only 10 can be destroyed," said Luxord, his voice echoing across the arena. "Make the right choice." "Make the right choice he says, 10 can be destroyed he says. Jeez... I'm cold, I'm pissed.... this has gotten way out of hand." Thane muttered as he called down a lightning bolt from the sky, melting away the leftover ice around him. "Would you like a nap?" "Shut the hell up Ravage!" Thane cursed, forcing the Demon back into its blade a moment later. Behind him, his lightning beasts formed into lightning bolts, shooting up into the sky a second later. "OK... only one thing to do... attack wildly like a madman and hope I get somethin cool." Thane muttered as lightning bolt shot down his arm. It rod down, stopping the Ravager blade, before shooting out, turning the entire thing into an odd looking crossbow. Thane reached forward and pulled back, forming an arrow of lightning with his fingertips. He let loos a volley of five arrows, crushing five random cards around the room. "Here's hopin." |

Death Count: Luxord: 35 Thane: 35 The 20 cards moved around the room at random while Thane prepared himself so he was the only one remaining. He fired 5 arrows and aimed them straight at the first 5 cards he saw. By sheer luck, he managed to find Luxord with the first arrow that made impact. Luxord was thrown out of his cards while the remaining 19 were destroyed, the other 4 arrows along with them. Luxord was clutching his chest in pain. Never had someone found him so quickly, it came as a shock to him. "Damn you Thane," Luxord said breathing heavily. "Alright. Round two." Luxord used Call my Bluff and called three cards in front of him. One was connected straight to Luxord's death counter. The other two were damage cards which would hurt Thane and steal from his own counter. In this case he only had to destroy 1 of the cards to get to Luxord. Once the card would be destroyed, Luxord would use Royal Flush and throw 5 cards in quick succession. With each successful hit, the following card would deal more and more damage with the last one potentially dealing 5x damage. Death Count: Luxord: 32 Thane: 34 [hp=960/1000] MP: 18/20 |

"Well that was lucky..." Thane sighed as his body was returned to normal. "And this is even luckier." Immediately he dashed forward, the blade trailing behind him, just before he chose Luxord's middle most card. Immediately Thane backflipped up over a card flying towards him and dropped bellow a second. The moment he touched the ground he dodge rolled away and for the final cards he let them hit his blade. Finally Thane turned his blade into a cross bow again and fired another five arrows at Luxord. Limit Breaks: 4 [hp=950/1000] |

Death Count: Luxord: 31 Thane: 33 Thane was getting too damn lucky. He had hit the central card which was connected to Luxord meaning more time was taken from the gambler. Thane then managed to dodge his Royal Flush. His blade formed into a bow once again and 5 arrows were fired at him. Thankfully the royal flush gave Luxord time to recover from the previous game. Luxord drew two cards and began to spin around as the arrows pierced and became caught in the cards. All 5 arrows were caught with each, but Luxord was still losing, badly. "Thane," Luxord said. "You may have won two of my game with perfection, but don't think it will last. You will lose..." Luxord drew two cards to his hands. "...and lose again." Luxord used Luck of the Cards once again and Luxord was transformed into a card along with 19 other identical versions. Same rules applied since last time. Thane took a deep breath. He had Luxord on the ropes now, this time it looked like his luck was paying off, but it wouldn't last forever. That much was deathly sure. Again Thane formed his weapon into a bow, at the very least if he chose wrong, he wouldn't take direct damage... he... hoped anyway. "This is getting repetitive Luxord, come on. You have to have better games." He baited the gambler. Another five arrows were shot out, heading for random cards spread out all over. |

Death Count: Luxord: 27 Thane: 31 Thane's luck was getting out of hand. He didn't find Luxord but he did find the Time card granting him extra time. Luxord was still alive and so were 14 of the cards as well as the Joker's Game. Luxord needed to find a way to try and reduce his time, fast. Well there was THAT move, but Luxord didn't exactly like using it. Never the less, the game continued with Thane winning. Death Count: Luxord: 26 Thane: 32 [hp=930/1000] MP: 18/20 |

Death Count: Luxord: 25 Thane: 31 As the next 5 shots were fired, they hit the next 5 cards which were all blank. Luxord was lucky however with the 6th card being himself. The cards changed back into nothingness and Luxord changed back into his original form. Luxord was currently losing badly and he didn't really want to use his strongest move. He did however use Even Odd's. He threw two dice at Thane and they headed straight for his head. If they didn't render him unconscious, the dice would land on the number's 2 and 2. Because they were both the same, Thane is changed into a Poker Chip and cannot use Special Techs or Limit Breaks (for 1 post). His movement's would also be restricted. Luxord also used Even Money. He threw a card at his Poker Chip friend which would hopefully cut into him. If the card manages to even touch Thane, their Death Count's would even up to equal the same. Luxord finished off by using Wild Card. He threw a card at Thane which became large and would follow the guy around the arena. The Wild Card would be able to avoid most attacks and would become stronger and faster as it continues to hunt his target down. Death Count: Luxord: 24 Thane: 30 [hp=930/1000] MP: 18/20 |
