Anyone got the heads up on which players Doogie has told have no future at the CG? Where's Red Kev these days? He always seemed to have his finger on the pulse. |

The betting's on Fox, Vaughan, Collins, Veldwijk and Patterson to be shown the door. Harding, Mackie, Halford, Tesche and Majewski to be released, so with Lascelles and Darlow off to Geordieland and Kane, Akpom, Barrow and Gardner all returning to their parent clubs, Dougie will have a few holes in his squad to fill. Then again, that's nothing new at Forest. |

I think that we should keep Fox and vaughn, we are struggling for a natural left back, and Vaughn is a good player if given game time, and listening to DF talking it sounds as if he has people lined up, well i hope so, of the rest i would keep Tesch and try to move heaven and earth to keep Gardner

Well that's some list DRD. I'm not 100% sure on the contract situation with some of them. If they are still under contract we will be hoping to sell not just release so I will give my take on your list in groups, I'm sure if I have put a player in the wrong group his agent will soon put me right. 'Out of contract players' Collins Halford Harding and Majeski. 12 month deals for Halford and Harding they would have been invaluable this season. 'Players with a 12 month option' Tesche and Veldwijk, Tesche is a nice footballer but not suited to the style favoured by DF, release. In years to come when Reds fans talk about the worst players they have seen turn out in the famous Garribaldi Veldwijk won't get a mention because he was so bad most fans never bothered to learn how to pronounce his name, he couldn't even score for the u-18s, first Ferry back to the Hook of Holland. 'Players under contract' who just need to be moved on, (hopefully for a fee) Fox Lansbury Mackie Paterson and Vaughan. I could fill a page about these 5 players but to summarize they have all massively disappointed. I will now add some more names I would like to see in the departure lounge under the heading 'Injury Prone High Earners' Blackstock Fryatt Hobbs and Wilson. I think Fryatt was a free but we paid over the top fees for the other 3 I would just like to be reading about their latest injury with another club. |

Ha-ha just had a txt from Abdoun asking why he wasn't on the list of players I wanted to see in the departure lounge. As for Laing and McLauglin not sure of their contract situation but neither has done enough to stay, blimey who'd be a manager. |

Four weeks ago Doo-gie said he was telling 5 players this week and 5 players next week they had no future at our beloved football club. Two weeks later he said he had told 1 player he was no longer required but Doo-gie couldn't name the player because it would affect the fee received when the said player moved on. I assume he asked the un-named player not to let on to his agent. After Saturdays abysmal end to the season we were informed via the NEP that the club would be releasing its retained list on Monday. It's now Thursday afternoon and no sign of any retained list has appeared. I'm sure the club/or Doo-gie will come out with some tosh saying they aren't allowed to do this due to contractual agreements but most Championship teams have done so far this week. Nothing is easy when you support Forest. |

To be honest i can't see that it really matters who we keep or let go, i'm sure we will find out at some point, whoever it is you can bet your bottom dollar it will be wrong for some Forest supporters, i'm afraid that Dougie can't win on this one

Forest have made De Vries an offer but he has yet to accept it. He is now out of contract and free to go wherever he wants.

Well if that is the case it explains why Forest are looking at a shedful of goalkeepers, i honestly thought that he had signed a new deal.

Interestingly, and this IS quite funny, Wolves are in the same boat with Bakary Sako. Having turned down a few million quid from Forest two years running for the French wide player, he is now available for free. |

Some confusion was caused by the fact that Dorus de Vries was also included on the released list - albeit with an indication that he has been offered fresh terms - but the Dutch keeper has agreed fresh terms and has not been released. "Dorus did sign his contract, he signed a two year deal," said Freedman at the end of March. "That is one position we have half addressed. We do need to bring in another keeper because young Dimi (Evtimov) is not quite ready for the Championship." Well I'm lost on this one, has he signed or not? I can understand the player not wanting to after the way he was treated by DF unless he has been given some assurances about playing. On the other hand he has never really taken his chances and always seems to have some injury niggles. |
