After the move to first team coach by Gilligan, the u21s will now be managed by one Jamie Fullarton who worked under DF at Bolton Fullarton moved to Spain where he set up his own football academy, running teams from u8 to u19, playing against Spanish lower league professional club's academies. 7 years on the academy is still running with over 200 players in the system and a number having graduated to sign for professional clubs in both Spain and England. However, in the summer of 2012, he became the coach of the Bolton Wanderers under-21s from where he was released by mutual consent in October 2014, following the departure of manager, Dougie Freedman. Fullarton still oversees his football academy, Costa Unida, in Spain. Edited by togwen, Jul 3 2015, 08:24 PM.

Fullerton is obviously a bright coach and his work at Bolton and in Spain is a testament to that, my only concern is with continuity. Our benefactor has little patience with his managers, and his sackings list already looks like an A - Z of Championship managers. When Fawaz loses patience with Dougie (as he surely will) the new man will come in, change all the backroom staff, and the whole carousel ride will begin once again. This lack of stability cannot be beneficial to the either on or off the pitch, and its time for the roundabout to stop. |
