Dorus de Vries to Celtic

Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Dorus de Vries is in Glasgow as he looks to complete a move to Celtic. De Vries was at Ross Hall Hospital ahead of a medical after the Hoops agreed terms with the Championship club.

Parkhead boss Brendan Rodgers is on the look-out for an experienced stopper to challenge current number one Craig Gordon. Inexperienced Italian Leonardo Fasan is acting as the Scotland international's back-up at present, with Belgian Logan Bailly looking at a long-term stint on the sidelines after injuring his ankle in pre-season. But Rodgers has trust in 35-year-old de Vries having worked with the Dutchman during their spell together at Swansea.

Can't say i'm that bothered about losing De Vries he was ok but nowhere near as good as previous Dutch keepers we've had. He seems to think that joining a manager he played for earlier in his career is a good move. However after finally establishing himself as first choice at the CG he has now decided that sitting on the bench at draughty Parkhead is a good career move .Still nobody said footballers were particularly bright.
