Reading boss Brian McDermott say's his 23 year old starlet Simon Church is to be offered up for a years loan.

McDermott, who has successfuly placed a number of his younger squad players at other clubs tp give them the games and experience they need, is rumoured to favour Ipswich Town , Huddersfield and Nottingham Forest amongst the preffered clubs for the young striker.

Forest have been in contact with Reading over Church as I understand it. So have the other clubs. The 'Prefered clubs are Brian McDermotts' because they are the one he thinks will play passing football to suit the players developement. So it's a compliment in a way.

It's no great loss at this stage if Church goes to either of the other 'prefered' clubs IMO, as I'm quite excited by the Blackstock / Cox pairing ATM.

Of course fitness and injuries come into the equaiion later in the season, that's when Church could be worth his weight in gold.

If he comes, that's great, if he doesn't, no worries.

We're looking quite good ATM so much better than I thought we would be at this stage of the new season. The defence is a bit out of touch at times, but as a brand new unit that's only to be expected.
