More cards flying around at the CG tomorrow night?

There is a very real prospect of another flurry of yellow cards at the City Ground tonight. After suffering the incomprehensable display of refereeing given out by rookie ref Robert Madley on Sunday against Derby, where hip high studs up tackles went unpunished whilst other players were booked for merely standing still, tonight's ref is just as accustomed to handing out random cards.

Mick Russel is in charge of the Blackburn game and so far this season he's had an undulating time of it, going through quiet patches of just a couple of cards in three games followed by a host of cards in the next match.
In his first three games this season Russel handed out only four cards (One red) followed by five in a match in the Wendy v Millwall tussle. Then came another quit patch (two in two games) followed by four in the Port Vale v Rotherham game.

The worrying thing ifor the Reds s that Russell has once again just been through a quiet patch. If you're a betting man, have few bob on three or more cards. ;)
