Elliot Ward could be in line for a speedy one month loan to Nottingham Forest to cover for former Canaries team mate Danial Ayala. Ayala could be out for two to three weeks with a hamstring injury he picked up in the Blackpool match on Tuesday night.

Ward has been sidelined at Norwich since Chris Hughton took the helm at Carrow road, and has not made the Premier league clubs squad of twenty five, so is ineligible to play for the club until January.

A move away from Norfolk looks likely for the versatile defender, and an initial month's loan at Forest could be turnred into a permanant move in the new year. If signed in time Ward could make the team sheet for Saturday's trip to Oakwell.

I think he's a great Championship defender and was a big plus for Norwich in their promotion season. I think, however, he's finding the step up a little hard. Norwich fans that I have spoken too rate him, which is always a good sign.
