Camp told he can leave on a free this month:

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11727/8387838/Nottingham-Forest-goalkeeper-Lee-Camp-set-for-January-free-transfer

Sky Sports understands Lee Camp has been told he can leave Nottingham Forest on a free transfer this month.

The experienced goalkeeper is out of contract in the summer but new manager Alex McLeish has agreed to allow the former Derby man to leave the City Ground ahead of schedule.

Reading had previously been linked with a bid for the 28-year-old and their interest could firm up now the keeper is available without a fee.

A host of Championship clubs including Hull and Ipswich are also believed to be monitoring the situation.

The Northern Ireland international has vast experience having played more than 300 games at Championship level.

One of the best keepers in the division and he is told that he can leave for nothing, i thought that those days where behind us , it could only happen at Forest *mad*

Its just pure stupidity to let him go on a free, even if he's out of contract at the end of the season. .

Reading were already offering a fee *erm*

He'll get better terms I suppose if he goes for nothing, maybe Big Eck wants him out quickly.

I hope to god, they don't bring Gomes in from Spuds *cry*

It doesn't bode well for Saturday. We are gonna get 1 of 3 scenarios, all bad:

1. Camp plays in goal - He will not be interested in playing to his full potential.

2. Evtimov plays in goal. Untried, untested young kid.

3. A new goalie comes in. He will have at most 2 days to try and get to know his defenders and how they play.

I am not confident at all for Saturday.

Looks Like Robert Green is the replacement:

They also mention Boyata from Citeh

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/nottingham-forest/9791871/Nottingham-Forest-set-to-swoop-for-Queens-Park-Rangers-goalkeeper-Robert-Green.html

Forest manager McLeish has launched a bid to offer Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Green a fresh start at the City Ground and is keen to agree a deal before Saturday’s home game against Peterborough.

Former England international Green, 32, has lost his place at Rangers after the arrival of Julio Cesar and Forest hope to sign him on loan, though reaching an agreement to pay a portion of his £50,000 wages could prove a stumbling block. McLeish is also considering Arsenal’s Lukasz Fabianski if the move for Green falls through.

Forest are targeting a new goalkeeper after Camp was told he can leave on a free transfer this month, following at least two rejections of a new contract offer.

McLeish is also keen to strengthen his defence and wants to sign Manchester City's Belgium international Dedryck Boyata on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

Boyata, 22, was recalled from a loan spell at FC Twente this week but City manager Roberto Mancini has agreed to send him out to gain more experience.

Lee Camp has refused two contract offers this month already and told the club he would be leaving at the end of his contract, due to his arrogance Alex McLeish has spoken to the Al Hasawi's and it was decided to let him go now to stop further unrest in the dressing room.
If camp leaves for free now he can still negotiate the signing on fee and higher wages with another club just like if he was out of contract, there is thoughts that he wouldn't leave if he couldn't get the pay deal due to a transfer fee being involved.
Top and bottom of it Lee Camp is holding a gun to our heads, we have to give in or we have a dressing room that is fueled with negativity from Camp and anger from his team mates.

If so then fair play Kev its about time we had someone take a stand Camp hasn't been the same since last season when he sulked.

Apparently after the PSV friendly SMc told him he was going no where so get used to it this after the Swansea interest.

The one good thing that Eck will bring is the BD mentality you either want to play for Forest or you don't.

Perform or foook off.

He's signed on loan until the end of the season. :)

A bit of stability at the back.

So we do not renew Hutton's loan because (according to AMc) we "need to strengthen other areas", only to loan WBA's 3rd choice RB???

Nice one.

It's all going off and I'm sure there will be more rumours right until the end of the month!

On Twitter, Fawaz's son keeps tweeting some interesting stuff about big news, but we are still unsure as to whether it is actually his son, although Fawaz himself does follow him.

I think Burke will arrive this week, a proper winger who is out of contract this summer.

I would also like to see Darlow given a run in the 1st team, no better time to make a claim as our No1.

Forest off load Robbie Findley, his contract ended by mutual agreement. The American international striler could be off to Portland Timbers back in the states having scored three times for the club in twenty five outings.

In other news, Peterborough Chairman Darragh McAnthony has turned down what he descibed as a 'derisory bid' from Nottingham Forest for former Forest loanee George Boyd.

McAnthony revealed that apart from Forest he has had inquiries from Millwall, Crystal Palace and Reading regarding the 27 year old forward who is out of contract in the summer. McAnthony went on to say that he would rather Boyd leave for nothing at the end of the season having played his part in keeping Posh in the Championship, than let him go on the cheap now.

Alex McLeish, in an interview with the Nottingham Post has stated he wants to bring in three players in the January window, a goalkeeper, a winger and another striker.

The new Forest boss will this week step up his search for an experienced keeper. The Scot handed 22-year-old Karl Darlow his full league debut for the club against Peterborough on Saturday after telling long-time number one Lee Camp that he does not have a future at the City Ground.

And with Dexter Blackstock injured in training this week, McLeish had no option but to name Matt Derbyshire on the bench for the Peterborough match on Saturday, after already telling the player he is not required at the club.

It is a difficult situation, and McLeish added "Matt Derbyshire is still in the squad, but it is not easy for Matt - or for me - when I say to him 'you are not in my plans', then ask him to be on the bench. He went on, "While he is still a Forest player, he might have a role to play. He has a great attitude, to be fair.
