Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey is wanted by Nottingham Forest English side Nottingham Forest have slapped in a bid to sign Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey. The Championship side made an offer to his Norwegian club Stromgodset on Friday, insiders close to the Drammen-based side told Ghana's leading football news website. The offer to sign the Black Stars goalkeeper was made through an English agent but Stromgodset rejected the initial offer. The Norwegian side declined the Nottingham's offer saying it was too low even though the figure involved was not revealed. But talks between the two clubs continued over the weekend with the offer likely to be improved by Tuesday afternoon. Stromgodset are keen on selling their goalkeeper, who is captain of the side, because he has one year left on his contract which means he could leave for free by next year. Before leaving for Abu Dhabi, where he is camping with the Black Stars ahead of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, the 25-year-old said that he is not averse to an extension. Stromgodset sports director Jostein Flo refused to comment on Kwarasey's link to the English club and with talks still continuing between the two sides, it is probably the reason why the Norwegian club refused to comment. The chase for Kwarasey started after Nottingham first-choice goalkeeper Lee Camp was recently told to find a new club, and he will be heading to Ipswich.Nottingham Forest were in the summer bought by the rich Al-Hasawi family from Kuwait, and the old big club are focusing really hard on promotion to the Premier League. Norwich City are out to scupper their local rivals bid to sign Forest goalkeeper lee Camp. Lee has always wanted to play in the Premiership and Norwich hope their higher status will be enough to sway the Derby born 'keeper's mind in their direction. |

Dexter Blackstock may sign an improved deal before the end of January. Blackstock is believed to have turned down an initial offer from the club, but a second offer has now been tabled and the parties are said to be 'not too far apart'' A new deal for the striker would be good news for all concerned. |

Forest will not make an approach for Billy Sharp's permanant transfer to Nottingham Forest until the summer, Alex McLeish reveled today. This will give the club every chance to concentrate on the three players he want to bring in in January. That's the official reason, but the latest coming out of the CG is that we're NOT bringing in a new goalkeeper now (See No nre goalkeeper shock!) http://s4.zetaboards.com/The_A_Block/topic/9807006/1/#new So I ask you, who ARE the thrree players, what ARE their positions, and what WAS the big secret that was mooted following the Oldham debacle? |

Clough has now distanced himself from the blackstock 'move'. If that wasn't a bit of pre-match shinnanigins, then I'm a Monkey's uncle! On the credit side, Either or both of the Boyd & Burke deals could be back on, McAthoney has said barry Fry is dealing with Boyd, and the word on the street is that Forest have increased the pffer for Buke.

Some interesting names from the NEP NOTTINGHAM Forest are poised to make a cut-price bid to land Bolton's Spanish defender Marcos Alonso. The left-back cost Wanderers £2.5m when he signed from Real Madrid in the summer of 2010, but is out of contract at the end of the season. And Forest are set to test the water with a bid for the 22-year-old, who could be available for as little as £200,000. Alonso has recently forced his way back into the Bolton first team under former Reds striker Dougie Freedman, but has yet to put pen to paper on the new contract the Championship club have offered. .Alonso has played eight times for Bolton this season, scoring two goals – but has made only 15 starts overall at the Reebok Stadium and could be tempted by the chance to kick-start his career at the City Ground. Although, with Premier League Swansea also interested in Alonso, Forest retain a number of alternative options. Alex McLeish has made the left side of defence a priority during the transfer window, with Dan Harding currently lacking natural competition for his place. And Forest also still have an interest in Southampton's Danny Fox, who was previously a target for the Reds before he moved to Celtic from Coventry in 2009. The 26-year-old has since played for Burnley, before moving to Southampton in August 2011. Fox was a first-team regular last season, as Southampton made the step up into the top flight under Nigel Adkins. But, with the emergence of 17-year-old starlet Luke Shaw at St Mary's, Fox has made only eight league starts during the current campaign. Forest have also been made aware of the availability of Goran Popov, the Dynamo Kiev defender who is currently on loan at West Brom. The 28-year-old has started six Premier League games for the Baggies, but has been made available for £1m by the Ukrainian club, who are keen to sell. Popov, a Macedonian international who can also play on the left wing, has experience in Greek and Dutch football and won the Dutch Cup with Heerenveen in 2008. He has played 44-times for his country. Forest are also casting their net far and wide in their search for a striker, with Andrija Delibaši, an experienced Montenegro international, also understood to be on their list of potential targets. The 31-year-old currently plays for Rayo Vallecano in Spain, who he helped win promotion to the top flight. He had previously also helped Hercules secure a place in La Liga's Primera Division. Meanwhile, Forest are not yet understood to have upped their initial bids for either Birmingham winger Chris Burke or Peterborough's attacking midfielder George Boyd. |

Nottingham Forest are understood to have placed an offer to Millwall for Darius Henderson. The 31 year old striker is the top earner at Millwall and is available for free in the summer. Millwall have moved to cover Henderson's departure with the loan signing of former Forest forward Nathan Tyson from Derby. But their interest in defender Marcos Alonso may be over, with the Bolton man near to securing a dream move to Florence. Fiorentina are understood to have moved into the driving seat, offering the former Real Madrid player a deal to take him to Serie A on a free at the end of the season. The 22-year-old is out of contract at the Reebok in the summer and Forest were leading a host of Championship clubs, keeping a close eye on the situation. |

Birmingham City are playing hardball over winger Chris Burke, rejecting Forest's latest improved bid, despite the only other offer on the table for the 29 year old ex Cardiff player lying way behind the Red's bid at just £150,000. McLeish will not increase his £500,000 offer, but will leave it on the table as we go into the last days of the January window, if Brum need the money as bad as their accountants say they do something may yet happen, if not.................... George Boyd is on his way to Crystal Palace, expect Wilfred Zaha to move to the Mancs where he'll be a bench monkey for the next few years. There is no interest in any of the Forest squad so no-one else will be leaving. Someone must have watched them against Watford.

Our squad is a lot smaller (some may say weaker) since Mid December. INS / OUTS Jara / Hutton - Direct replacement - Hutton was better Rashid / Camp - Direct replacement - cannot comment if better or not Henderson / Findlay - Direct Replacement - Surely Henderson must be better Ward / Ward - erm replaced himself / Derbyshire - will not be missed / Maloney - Another one with unfulfilled potential / Jenas - quality player when fit / Hutchinson - Quality player when fit - word is that he has gone back to Chelsea So if we do not sign anyone else in this window, which is looking very likely, we will be 4 players down on squad size. Have they written off this season? Edited by CityGround4Ever, Jan 30 2013, 01:08 PM.

Sunderland's James McFadden is thinking hard about a loan deal that will see him reunited with his former Birmimgham City manager Alex McLeish at Nottingham forest. The former Motherwell, Everton and Birmingham striker earned a years contract at Sunderland after being relaesed by Everton at the end of last season, but has only made three appearances for his new club. His manager Martin O'Neil wants McFadden to get some game time so he can push for a first team place at the Stadium of light. If the deal comes off it will a short one. |

Forest pull out if Boyd deal because he failed an eyesight test. We had him om loan just over a season ago, we know all about his eyes. Then we try to loan the player instead. WTF! We are becomimg a laughing stock again. Away from the awful treatment of George Boyd, I've had a message that mcFadden has signed on a month's loan deal, but that no other deals have been completed. PLUS! Another rumour that Big Eck has threatened to quit My GOD! What is this club coming too? |

As things stand its another disasterous January window for Nottingham Forest. The club are seemingly now obllivious to the normal constraints and etiquette of English footbal transfer dealings can't blame Mark Arthur for this shinnanigins. . IMHO we're FOOKED! |
