For each of the 36 races, you pick two drivers. One is your A driver, a superstar driver who is likely to contend for the victory in the race. The other is your B driver, or a darkhorse candidate for victory. The points your two drivers score will be averaged to give your score for a given race. A list designating each driver as an A or B driver will be posted well in advance of the Daytona 500. Drivers will be reseeded at an undetermined time - after 9-12 races, most likely - to take into account their performance thus far in 2011. Rules for picking are simple: 1. You must pick an A and B driver. You may not pick two A drivers or two B drivers. 2. You may pick any driver as often as you like, but you may not pick the same driver in two consecutive weeks. 3. Picks must be submitted before Sprint Cup qualifying. In the event that your B driver fails to qualify for the race, you will be granted the opportunity to pick another driver, but you will be docked 10 points accordingly. 4. All changes to picks made after the official start of qualifying - a time is designated in advance of the race - will result in a 25 point penalty per driver. 5. Late picks will result in a 50 point penalty, no questions asked. Picking for an upcoming race officially opens at the checkered flag of the previous weekend's race, but I will work with you if you have an upcoming absence. In other words, if you won't be able to make your picks between the end of one race and qualifying for the next, get with me, let me know that you won't, and I'll give you your two drivers without penalty. 6. Picks are to be submitted via PM. Make sure you make it clear what driver you want, don't just say "Jeff" or "Gordon," for instance. |
