Dragging her feet, Blade lazily walked slowly down the dark hallway, her shadow following her, her boots filling the empty air with a warning for anyone around, a warning that you're not alone. The moon outside created a low light to shine through the windows, which over many years of abuse had cracks in them, dust over them and paintwork fading. Walking over to a window Blade used her delicate finger to draw a heart in the dust. She then quickly wiped it away with anger, causing dust to fly everywhere. Coughing, she moved away. She had no intentional place to go to. Nor did she want to go anywhere, or was welcome anywhere. She would rather wander the grounds and let someone find her, rather than her chasing people down. For her life had been filled with hunting people down, hunting her family down, hunting friends down. All this chasing had ended up into a wild goose chase, and a broken heart. So Blade no longer chased anyone down, for it ended in her being disappointed. Blade was wearing her usual outfit. Her black tatty suede boots, her pleated black skirt and her tank top. However, this night was freezing. She clung to her long coat which hugged her and tried to keep her warm. Why is it so deathly cold. This was strange for Blade to moan about how the cold affected her, because she was used to the cold, seeing as she had grown up living amongst it. Sighing she turned around and saw the darkness. She hated it when she roamed the hallways and was alone. Even the silence of the hallway scared her sometimes...because sometimes she let herself down, letting herself think that she would never be able to defend herself if anything happened. |

No sound escaped from the motion of foot against floor as Tuule steppe from the outside world into the equally dark hallway. She had just had an entertaining visit to one of the local clubs and couldn’t wait to fall asleep in a velvet bed. Some would have thought that she would have slept in a coffin; after all she was a vampire. But she had tried it once and found it incredibly uncomfortable and a tight squeeze, she preferred something finer. The sound of footsteps ahead caught her attention and she cocked her head to the side, trying to determine who they belonged to. They were familiar but she could not figure out who they belonged to. Obviously it was someone she had met before but had yet to get to know properly. Though who was to say that she knew anyone properly. It was almost imposable to find what lies beneath the surface of some of the vampires. For humans however, it was almost always easy. She moved towards the footsteps but almost at the same time that she stared moving they stopped. She mimicked this as she tried to guess what they were doing. After a few seconds of silence she heard coughing and started moving again. She was only a little way away when the one she sought spoke. The words caused her to raise her eyebrows slightly. She recognised the voice as belonging to Blade, someone she had met recently. Because death is all around The words formed with a layer of ice and were spoken from the darkness. She doubted that the vampire ahead of her could see her until she took a step forwards and announced her presence. She was only a little bit smaller than Blade and she wondered if perhaps this was one of the reasons she got on with the electric vampire. There was no way that she could feel dwarfed when she was around her. |

To say blade was bored would be an understatement. However, when Blade did something fun, like met someone new, Tuule, in the bar or anything, it didn’t last long, and boredom soon crept in. Still coughing from the amount of dust that floated around the room, along with the many spirits of haunting dreams, Blade made her way down the hall when she saw a peculiar dark shadow. Narrowing her eyes, she tried to figure out who the shadow was, or what it was, but she couldn’t see from the distance that they were away from each other. Blade got nearer and knew that from the size of the shadow it was either someone whom she had just met, guessing that it was Tuule, or someone equally less threatening. She smiled as the shadow spoke, confirming that the small shadow was infact the small bundle of mischief that had sorted out Blade’s little problem in the club earlier that night. Smiling, blade could instantly sense that these two would get along just fine. Infact, she thought that one of the things that brought them closer was their height, seeing, as Blade did not tower above her, nor did she feel dwarfed by her. When she spoke, the coldness of the air made her words icier and Blade swore she saw the steam from her mouth. Blade loved the steam that escaped her mouth when it was cold, she felt like a dragon. She giggled and listened to Tuule’s words. Death was certainly lingering around this place, especially at this time of night. Well, death can bloody well bugger off and leave me alone Laughing Blade lightened the mood that the chill had unfortunately dampened….or frozen in this case. |

At the sound of a giggle Tuule raised her eyebrows. It had been so long since she had heard that innocent sound. The last time she had heard that sound was when she had set up home in the forests and sometimes went to watch the little children play. Occasionally she would cut short that giggle and take a sip of blood untainted by drugs or anything of the sort. Smile tinged at her lips as she heard Blade’s reply. She seemed like the sort of person that would be a trouble keeping in low spirits. Some would say that it was just like her but they had never seen what lies in her soul. They would just be some of the many that just looked at the surface, never sought to find what lay beneath. She took great pleasure in finding out what made people tick, it always gave her something to use against them if the need arise, or if they bugged her. She let the cloak of darkness fall from her as she took a step forwards. Now a vampire would be able to make out most details of who stood before them but a human would be none the wiser. They would see nothing and that was one of the reasons it was so easy to destroy them, they didn’t know you were there until it was too late. But it seemed to her that they were some, those who called themselves hunters. They hunted her own kind but she was sure that the only ones they caught were the young, stupid ones. Most of them were just too highly evolved to let the pathetic traps of man fool them. |
