The Goddess of Darkness & Desire

The Swedish naturalist Rolf Blomberg described in his book "Rio Amazonas"(1966) his meeting with a very old Brazilian Indian. The man, Alvaro Mesquita, told Blomberg of his earlier meeting with a "prehistoric beast". Mesquita encountered the creature during a nightly hunt at the shore of a swampy lake around the Rio Purús/Rio Juruá-area in the Amazon basin, Brazil. Mesquita said he suddenly saw two glowing red eyes high above the ground, and tried to get closer. When he got close, he saw it was a bipedal reptile. Mesquita described the animal as resembling the herbivore dinosaur Camptosaurus. He tried to shoot at the monster, but missed, and the creature fled into the lake.

This is one of my favorite one's.....What do you guy's think....

so where did this old Brazilian Indian study palaeontology
Camptosaurus isn't exactly well known to old basilian indians in 1966 is it
however i reckon a Swedish naturalist might have heard of it

the mountain Gorilla, the okapi, the coeleocanth, the komodo dragon, the Vu Quang ox plus a few hundred others
oh and not forgetting the reports of sea monsters from around the globe in the last two hundred years which Bernard Heuvalmans (the father of cryptozoology) proved conclusively in all cases were the remains of rotted great whales or large sharks

cryptozoology is a science not a myth

It would not surprize me if the Amazonian rain forests and other jungles of South America have something unexplained they are holding back on.

There is a lot of land there to play hide and seek in.
