I suppose it all depends on everyone's point of view in the end!
there are so many choices anymore!
I figure there are to main choices though!

Creationism- a doctrine or theory holding that matter, the various forms of life, and the world were created by God out of nothing and usually in the way described in Genesis!

Evolution- the historical development of a biological group (as a race or species)
: PHYLOGENY: a theory that the various types of animals and plants have their origin in other preexisting types and that the distinguishable differences are due to modifications in successive generations!

Personaly i am kinda stuck in the middle of both these beliefs!

Not wait to see?

What do you think will happen in a week? Do you BELIEVE something particular will happen then, or do you just wait and see what happens?

I believe in heaven (and hell) I believe when we die we all get our own little cloud and we get to hang out with our dearly departed and we find out all the answers to all the questions we've ever had about "life and stuff"

I'd rather fantasize about it than "wait and see" waiting and seeing is extremely boring to my creative mind
Squirrelly wrath is way overdue

I believe there is heaven, and there is hell, but it's not clouds and brimstone.

Heaven is where you go after judgement, and you get to hang out with the Creator God (who is perfect) and experience raw, pure love in its basic form. Hopefully I'll be able to hang out with family and friends too, but I doubt it, considering their beliefs. That makes me sad.

Hell is where you go after judgement, and it has been determined that you did not live according to your understanding of the scriptures. I believe you get to get a glimpse of God at judgement. You get to experience that raw perfect love, and then, if you are not worthy of staying there, you are sent away from that Holy Light, into Darkness, forever to be tormented by the yearning to go back to that Light and knowing you never can. Lucifer will be there, in that Godless place, but you will never be happy again, and I don't believe you will see your friends or family there. You will be utterly and totally alone, in Darkness, forever, knowing you could have had it all, but were selfish and greedy for the less than hundred year existance in a fallen world. That is hell.

Oooohhhhhh I feel a long post coming on....................

Yes I believe in heaven, and yes I believe in God, but not in the way it is portrayed by conventional religions or indeed by the bible.

Firstly lets deal with the bible, a collection of apocryphal stories written almost a couple of thousand years ago, not even a complete collection of stories, but an edited collection put together by religious leaders with an agenda, something that if repeated in the enlightened times we live in now would be questioned to destruction. And lets not forget that the authors of these texts lived in simpler times, man was not as intelligent as we are today, and who's not to say that they weren't written by people with an agenda too, bearing in mind that some of the texts were written up to a couple of hundred years after the events they are describing. It puts me in mind of some research I did several years ago on a local character called Mother Shipton. She was a prophetess living at around the same time as Nostradamus. She is credited with foretelling amongst other things the internet, the telephone, iron ships and submarines along with the end of the world. It turned out after many months of research that the majority of the prophesies were made up by the Victorians an published in a booklet to draw crowds of tourists to the area, although based in truth because Mother Shipton undoubtedly existed, and historical records exist of some of her prophesies and their impact on the royal family of the time, the mists of time have generated such a fabrication of her abilities as a prophetess that the present day representation of her abilities bear no relation to the truth.

OK so I don't believe everything I read in the bible, but that's not to say that lost in there somewhere isn't the truth in some form or other.

Secondly, the origin of the species.
All life as we know it shares DNA, in fact all life as we know it shares so much of it's DNA that it's hard to believe that DNA as complicated as it is, came into being fully formed and capable of producing life as we know it. A sure sign of divine intervention in my book. As for natural selection, as the creationists point out there are many missing links and giant leaps for evolutions mutated gene theory can account for, another sign of a divine intervention.

OK So I believe there is someone, some thing out there shaping and moulding our past and future.

Thirdly, the planets and physical science.
The start of it all, the big bang, laid down several ground rules, the energy levels in atomic shells, the amount of matter in the universe and it's rate of spread, the speed of light and the value of gravity, all these laws of physics govern the formation of our known universe and if any of these values varied by as much as a fraction of a percent in either direction, the universe as we know it would be a very different place. Coincidence?

OK so I believe someone/something put it all here for us and gave it a shove in the right direction.

Fourthly, The me bit.
What are we, what is the soul, where is the soul, what is the spark that invades our body and animates our conciousness till the day we depart this mortal existence?
A large portion of our brain defies analysis, scientists don't know what it's for or what it does.

OOhhhhhhh questions questions patience and all will be revealed

Fifthly, much has been said in the scientific community about parallel universes, indeed in theory it has been proved they can exist. What rules exist there? What laws of physics apply? What sort of life could we imagine inhabiting another reality?

Almost there lmao

Lastly, and here I expect you to keep that mind open lol What if there were in another reality some super concious intelligence that was capable of affecting other realities to the extent of defining the laws of physics, of shaping the formation and steering the evolution of life, and of detaching portions of it's conciousness to animate it's creations, keeping links open to it's origin?
Surely such an entity would occupy the position of a god to us, and a return to the entity for the detached portions of conciousness on the expiry of its earthly inhabitant would constitute a future in heaven, the place it belongs, the place it retained a link to during it's sojourn on earth.

Ok so there you have a very potted view of my beliefs on heaven, very difficult to put down even a fraction of my thoughts and beliefs on the subject in a single post lol but suffice to say if you have any questions I can expand on my thoughts, such as the explanation of most aspects of the paranormal and how they can be encompassed and explained and my theories about how many natural mysterious phenomena drop into place.

erm.................THE END
