I neither believe nor disbelieve at this stage, you see i am on a journey to find the truth and as such am open to many points of view, However it should be noted i don't agree with organised religions as i believe that a supreme being would be so incomprehensible that no single religion could describe him completely |

^ What they said. I don't agree with organized religion, and I don't believe that any religion has defined the creator correctly. Besides, they all contradict eachother and none have evidence to support their side of the arguement. |

I don't believe in organised religion, because that corrupts people I believe that 'god' is within you, that you chose and that you take the responsibility for your choice good or bad. I believe in the strength of all humankind, and that we chose out path through life. I also believe that being truly happy means being true to yourself I'll stop being deep now.. |

Time to chime in on a rather serious subject here.. Two years ago I would have told you that God existed only because struggling minds needed a crutch to explain the unexplainable, and needed a better "something" to strive for; since they weren't strong enough to do it on thier own.. Things are different now.. Roughly a year and a half ago, a series of events in my life unfolded that led to an entire life and entire philo-theological change.. Firstly; although I hadn't prayed to God since I was five or seven or so; a desperate plea; given in a moment of total hopelessness; was met by an e-mail from somebody I consider my ultimate soul-mate.. There was absolutely no reason for this to happen, even in the course of random events; and it changed my life forever.. Secondly; a person some of you know as "Researcher" informed me a few months ago that my body was infested by a Demon that he would cast out.. He did this right out of the blue with no prompting or prior contact. During what you might call the exorcism process; strange and unearthly events happened around our home.. Including rapid, illogical mood-swings, swirling mists in the living room, moving shadows with no light source to name; and unexplainable noises and prophetic dreams; as well as other things.. It was a scary time for Girty and I, being the skeptics we naturally are; but we really lived it, and came out the stronger for it.. All this leads me to conclude that a higher power does indeed have an interest in our fates.. Take all that for what you will; folks..Nor do I blame you if you don't believe me, or want to explain it scientifically.. Go right ahead..But those of you who used to know me from UM will know that I have a ready explanation for most things, and that I'm not easily bamboozled, even by myself.. I even tried several experiments to re-create conditions that might re-create the events I mentioned, but nothing could quite do it plausibly.. I'm convinced of a God or even Gods plural.. Either way; somebody loves me.. |

I believe in God and I've recently had a near death experience which was very strange. I saw Heaven, I saw hell. |

I do believe in a higher being but not a devil because for me it is logical to create a world with a balance of good and bad in it otherwise what kind of world would it be with just one side in it? |

If you believe in both sides.......then how could you not believe in the devil? |

I do not believe in a God, because Christians define what evil is, and what good is. I personally know of no Christian that follows the bible entirely, and I have absolutely no problem with a Christian who picks and chooses verses to heed or to discard, whatever gives them peace of mind and guidance. The problem I have Is them stating that GOD IS THE ONLY WAY. |

I get asked that a lot and for me why does there have to be a Devil in order for us to have good and bad in the world? Great Spirit created us as a balanced human being meaning he placed the bad within through free will. Why then should there be a Devil just because we have the free will to choose whether we take a human life or not. |

Simply put there is a god for your good and a god Devil/Satin for your bad side! You have a choice to be a good person and follow the bible! Or you can be like me in the Christians eyes and be very bad/evil and realize there is more to this life than just a bible of words which are very incomplete. Silentom

I believe in God, though not organised religions. I find it so weird that there are so many fights over religion if you go back to the basics most people believe in a higher power but use different names. I too like Falco have seen things that have really enforced my beliefs. |

God is what you make of it. If for you, God compels others to send you e-mails at opportune times, help you pay a bill to keep the heat on, find you a new job, put a smile on your face. etc, ..or if he's just a bronze-age sky deity sitting in the clouds...so be it. I am just a man, and being that have no way of knowing conclusively that there is a god. There is evil though, of that I am sure... and though that is a story for another time I assure you it, or rather, the capacity for it, does exist. God is a feeling. Its a gaia or life-force. It's a domino effect, an old wive's tale, our ancestors' spirits. It watches us and helps us...if we let it. I believe in no God that allows it's followers to kill others in it's (his/her?) name. Im more or less from the eastern train of thought that God is all around us. |

But if God is good why would he have us kill in his name and give us the commandment thou shall not kill? It that not a double standard? |
