Im not sure where you're going here. I never said God was good, nor did I say I even believed in God. I said that 'God' is a concept that I believe represents what is all around us. 'God' is different things to different people. I myself am an atheist. As far as God goes, I dont know, nor would I presume to say I had all the answers. And God having people kill in his name? That is every major religion's 'God'. Read the Bible, the Qoran, the Rig Vedas. All gods order genocide...and none of them are 'good'. If you want to seriously talk about inconsistancies and double standards in the Judeo-Christian Bible just pm me and I will talk with you about it for hours on end. |

I can't speak for all Christians, but I don't try and judge people based on their beliefs. I do know one thing for sure, we (that being my whole family and I) sure don't believe you're bad or evil or I wouldn't have married you. We don't think people are bad because they believe differently. To me, that's just not the way Christianity works. But every person is different. Can't group everyone together and say we all do this or we all do that. I love you baby! |

Its really sad that we can't respet the way other's feel....I know i believe in God, But i don't feel the need to make other's believe, Does that mean i'm a bad christain..I don't think so...I just think it means i have respect for what other's believe and feel.....

Thats the ideal, Isey. When people use the way they feel to try and influence matters that affect everyone else, things go downhill. |

Yes they do sweetie....But it's more then that...If you try to make a person feel what you feel then it's not real for them....relgion is something that come's from the heart and no person can preach that into another..... Plus there is the problem with nut's who kill in the name of God,..Tell me has it ever made another person believe the way they want...NO all it does is make thing's worse for that relgion....

I do and I can't say there was ever a time when I haven't believed in God even way back to my toddler years when I was watching Rocky Horror! LOL No, really, I watched that and Breakdance like everyday (my parents are very liberal) had no idea what it was about though, now I see it as an alternate alien Eden! LOL |

After watching the pain my father went through for my entire life i have never really believed in the possibility of a god who is anything other then apathetic to us. As such i have a hard time understanding people who talk about a "loving" god etc. Is there a god, I don't know but if ever i do meet him i will want to know why he allows such pain to visit one who has done nothing to earn it. I will ask why he tortures and torments the weak and many other things. Who knows, perhaps he will even explain these things well enough that i can respect him... but i will never worship him |

To me the whole story of God and everything in the bible completely reminds me of the of the wizard of Oz. |

I hope it's OK to resurrect a topic because this issue is important to me. I truly believe in God as the Creator of all we see and all we can't see,and in Jesus as my Savior. I know non-Christians often-too often-see an angry, hateful Evangelical Christianity. I only wish I had the ability to share with you the peace, the strength, the joy and love I experience though my faith in God,Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. When I pray-I feel His presence in me,and I feel a great love. My prayers are answered,I've seen loved ones recover fully from conditions that medical professionals had given up hope on. I also want you to know-I don't have all the answers. I don't understand why there is pain and evil. I don't know how someone that thinks they worship the Prince of Peace can then hate gays or anyone else. I'm not sure about Heaven or what it means. Day-to-day, I go with what live gives me and rely on God to make it work. And He does. |

There is no problem with resurrecting a topic and I can totally understand by your words how you have your faith. We don't judge on TPB if we believe ...we believe..if we don't that's ok to.. I'm very happy you've found what makes your life complete.. |

Thanks,Mystical. I do think if everyone would "share" their beliefs, instead of "forcing my way down your throat", we might discover we have more things in common then we have differences. |
