I think I've said it before, but whenever I found myself questioning the existance of God throughout my teen years - I always came back to one thing. He must exist, because no matter how you look at it, there has always been something that must have always existed. Otherwise, where did it all come from? No, wether the Bible is true, or any religions are correct - I don't know. For the most part, I tend to think the people that delve deeply into religion - those that sorta cling to it - I tend to think they are hypocrites more often than not. I know many followers are good people. They believe in what they follow and they honestly do their best to be good and do good in their lives. The people at the top though - the ones actually running the church and what not - through my experiences (went to Catholic school for 12 years) they tend to be very hypocritical and don't take the time to truly evaluate themselves. They teach and tell you one thing, yet they than make rules and act in ways that go completely against what they preach. But back to God - I most definately believe in him. |

Organized religion has left a bad taste in my mouth that I don't think I will ever get rid of. I hated God for a long time but realized when I lost my family that it's not his fault that people act like shmucks in his name. I don't push anything on people either, I just say look for the truth because you will be dead a whole lot longer than you were ever alive so I think it is probably pretty important. |

Well now - that depends on what you consider dead. I also believe we continue to exist after our lives here on Earth. But yea - I pretty much agree with your thoughts on things Varlock. |

To me that's the funnest part of life, your right what exactly is death? I love asking questions and love that there are still some great mysteries in this world. |

Yea, when I noticed you responding in this thread I figured you don't mind asking or answering questions. That's a good thing though. I tend to be the same way in that regard also, lol. And heck yea - there are plenty of mysteries to life that have yet to be answered and some that likely never will be. |

I do believe in god, very much so... proud to announce I am a christian... Also, Melanie, it actually depends on the church and its parishioners, not the religion itself... take, for example, a "non-denominational" church i attended once... they twisted the bible around to suite there needs, which unfortunately many Christians do nowadays... however, there are also many of us who believe as I do, that we have to use the whole word of god, not bits and pieces... we're just not as big loud mouths as those damn evangelicals...
