OK, here we go people... i finally remembered how to make the revered golden skull... and i told Amoni i'd put this up when I remembered how to do it
:P So oki doks... first of all, we need these two images here: ![]() ![]() Alrighty then... First of all, make a copy of each image, each in a new layer for its respective image. This helps us delete any unwanted effects easily. Now make sure that both the skull image and the steel image are EXACTLY the same pixel dimension. I can't stress this enough, because if they are both different sizes, it won't work. My mesurements go 290X362 pix. Once you're sure the images are the same size, select the steel image, then go to Image->Apply Image. Choose your skull image as the source and apply the following settings: Layer:Background copy Channel:RGB Blending:Difference Opacity:100% And click OK. You should now have this: ![]() Now, select the skull image and apply the texture image you just worked on twice. Here are the settings to use for the first time you apply the image: Layer:Background Copy Channel: RGB Blending: Color Burn Invert Opacity: 100% Make sure the "mask" box is ticked and choose your skull image (your destination image) as the mask image to use. In the mask section, choose Layer: Background Copy and click OK. For the second apply image, always using the same desination/source images choose these settings: Layer: Background Copy Channel:RGB Blending:Color Burn Opacity:100% And use the same settings for the mask section as you did with the previous apply image. You should now have somethin that looks like this: ![]() Note how the gold is starting to appear. Now we can add some Hue/Saturation to the skull... add a bit of red. The settings I used were Hue:-12 Saturation:+31 Brightness:0 And don't tick the "colorize" box. Now add a curve adjustment to the metallic cast. Go to Image->Adjustments->Curves and use the following settings: ![]() And voila! Your skull is, as they say in show biz... finito!
