Here's a short tutorial on how to make lightning with photoshop: 1:Create a new document, for this I used 400X400 Pix. Create a new layer and apply a black to white gradient from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. 2:Go to Filters->Render->Difference Clouds 3:Ctrl+I to invert the image. If you look closely, you should be able to see the lightning taking form 4:Ctrl+L to bring up the levels. In the top left box, we want our input level set to 200. Then mess around with the grey arrow at the bottom till you see the lightning against a black background. 5:Ctrl+U to bring up the Hue/Saturation box. Make sure to click "Colorize" and choose the color you want. Now you should have something that looks like this: ![]() Now, to add it to any image you like, copy the entire layer and paste it onto your picture. Choose the blending mode to "screen" and voila, Instant lightning! |
