The Wild Goddess...

Hi All, Well I returned from sunny Sicily yesterday.. I had 3 full days there which really is not enough to see everything, and especially as its snowing and really cold here *wishes she was in Sicily still* I loved Sicily very much - its a beautiful country full of many contrasts. The people are warm and friendly and very italian which is fab... I have a new friend there, so I may be going back next year to see him, I don't know yet (Not all Sicillians are short, and some of them have blue eyes)Anyway here are the photos... 1) View from the Hotel ![]() 2) Greco Roman Amphitheatre in Taormina ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 3) Messina ![]() ![]() 4) Sunrise ![]() 5) Syracuse ![]() ![]() 6) Etna (quite near the top and its absolutely massive !!! ![]()

I am lucky that I get to go away alot - I do tend to save money because I always book directly with local hotels and airlines - II speak French and enough Italian to get by in most places and this helps too... I also tend to get the 'Rough Guide' to where I am going - they give you tips on where to eat cheaply etc.. I also try to make friends when I'm away.. that way they come stay with you and then you get a place to stay with them - if you know what I mean - Like an exchange I wish I had more time too though, with work, and college I only get the odd long weekend, but its worth it to just do short weekend breaks as you can see more..
