Arnold Police arrested a woman who tried to walk out of a grocery store with more than $1,200 in stolen merchandise, but was stopped in her tracks by an automatic door. According to police, the woman was trying to leave the Schnucks at Richardson Crossing but couldn't get out because she tried to exit through the wrong automatic door. The door wouldn't open and the woman drew so much attention to herself while trying to get through it customers and security quickly knew something was wrong. Police were called and the woman was arrested. She has not been formally charged, so her name and picture are not available. A list of what was in the woman's cart that added up to such a high amount is not yet available. A police spokesperson said it was made up of "groceries and other items."
