A reader form Russia, Mr Alex Marozov, sent us this video of an Alleged Bigfoot or Yeti. It is making news in Russia at the moment and doing the rounds of all the paranormal and cryptozoology websites however the Eglish comment at the end of the video ('What was that') has left us stumped The commentary that comes with the video states: 'This video is allegedly of a yeti. Videos of Yetis or Bigfoot always cause excitement. This recent one was taken on ‘Gam-Hill’ (?). The eyewitness claims to have shot the video at 18:30 April 5 of this year, during a ride on ATVs. The locals are aware of this beast and call it the ‘Beast of Gam Hill’. The beast was photographed in 1980 once and this is the second time the eyewitness has seen it. In local myth the beast or Yeti is regarded as being shy and non-aggressive. Locals have known about it for hundred years or so and say it is seven foot and 350 pounds. The video was shot with a cheap digital Vu-Point 5 camera the witness says they use when travelling or roughing it.' All News Web has not been able to find a thing about this video on any American sites and has no idea where 'Gam-Hill (in Russian)' is. Many cryptozoologists, assuming they aren’t aware of this video, will undoubtedly be suspicious of the English ‘What was that’ if indeed it was shot in Eastern Europe. If this is an attempt to ‘market’ an otherwise pretty good hoax to English speakers one must admire the sheer ‘genius’ of the hoaxers. Paranormal sites in Russia seem to be taking the video seriously. Perhaps it is being promoted there as having occurred in the US. If so why is the video seemingly unknown in the west? Of course, there might be a perfectly good explanation for the English and this might be a real Yeti or Bigfoot. Source |

And here I was hoping to see the video. Why release the story and not the video which may very well be some proof at long last. |
