The Man!!!
|
Several scientists at a major university applied for a federal government grant. In the grant proposal, it was stated that the purpose of the grant was to construct a space craft with which they could then travel to the sun in, study the sun, and return. A high level bureaucrat, with little knowledge in matters scientific, asked them to come to his office to discuss it further. When they had been seated in his office, the lead scientist asked him what it was he wanted to discuss. He replied that while he didn't have a scientific education in the sciences, he was trying to understand how the space craft could get to the sun, without melting from the heat of the sun. The lead scientist replied that had only the bureaucrat been educated in the sciences, he would have realized that they were going to complete the entire expedition and study during only night time hours.
