No Republican presidential candidate has won the White House without winning Ohio. That is true, but misleading. According to USConsitution.net, with the exceptions of George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004, every Republican elected since 1900 would have won even losing Ohio. Even with Bush winning Ohio, Senator Al Gore would have won if he carried tiny New Hampshire and its four electoral votes, which Bill Clinton carried twice as did John Kerry and Barack Obama. Gore also lost Clinton's home state of Arkansas and his own home state of Tennessee, with 6 and 11 electoral votes respectively. In 2004, Kerry carried the other Great Lakes swing states (Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania) yet Bush won Ohio and the presidency. Had Ohio flipped, Kerry would have been president. Changes in the distribution of electoral votes are weakening Ohio's impact. Since peaking at 26 electoral votes in 1940, Ohio has seen a steady decline each census, to 20 by 2008 and 18 this election. This is a pattern across the Great Lakes swing states, which accounted for 84 combined electoral votes in 1980, but only 68 in 2012. ElectionProjection.com shows Barack Obama leading Mitt Romney 49.4 percent to 49.1 percent in the popular vote. But as we were reminded in 2000 when Gore won the popular vote but lost the election, it is the electoral votes which decide. That same projection shows Obama leading Romney 303-235 in electoral votes, meaning Obama could lose Ohio and also lose Wisconsin, where the outcome of the recent recall election has brought new hope for a Romney upset, and still retain the presidency. Romney's path to the presidency is not assured if he wins Ohio, but it is very difficult without. (More@:SOURCE:YahooNews |

Romney has a whole, whole lot of campaign money to spend . . . the DNC is not only broke, but some $28 million owing. Obama's campaign is begging for dimes. In Congressional districts which were save havens for Democrats, are now tightly contended as of now. Making people broke is not a great way to campaign. Obummer is rapidly going down the tubes, from any aspect. Not a democrat politician wants to have a loser such as Obummer around. Neither Obama nor Romney has selected a Veep yet. Just more and more BS from the clowns and monkeys of the MSM circuses.
