Announcement: I'd like to get at least eight people with applications before we start this so that we have a decent pool. So yeah. |

I'll make a character soon. Being new to rping, I was waiting for a couple of other people to invent/build/create/whatever the proper verb is their characters before I made mine so that I would have some sort of reference as to what is acceptable practice in the world of rp character-inventing/building/creating/whatever the proper verb is -ing. |

Don't base it off of mine, if anything I always end up under powering my characters. |

@Character power levels: I may have mentioned this before, but I'll say it again: When in doubt (at least for this RP) underpower by a little bit, because there's going to be plenty of time between matches for you to purchase, create, or otherwise obtain various additions to your character. |

I was hoping to get at least eight players before we started. I'll wait a bit longer on Random to get his character up, but I think we're gonna have to get on with it after that. |

Um, yeah, so I just finished my application. It ended up being way longer than I'd planned, but I don't have time to go edit it now and stuff. Um, I'm not quite sure where to post the application, so I'll just post it under this comment. Name: Subject 24601 Age: 22 Nation of Origin: Offspleenia Height: 0.009469697 furlongs Weight: 180 lbs Other Important Physical Characteristics: Um, I’ll get to that part during the whole abilities thing, but there’s no physical characteristics that would distinguish Subject 24601 from a “normal” human being, if he were just standing in front of you. Basic Biography: In order to understand the life of Subject 24601, and the motives behind his actions, one must first have some basic understanding of Offspleenian society. Back in the old days of the Federation, Offspleenia was one of the great powers in Helios, however, despite producing some of the fiercest competitors in the early years of the Exhibition, they were never quite able to win any Exhibition. Disheartened by the disappointing results of their attempts to assert themselves in international politics, the Offspleenians began to isolate themselves from the rest of Helios, and as this only meant less competition in the Exhibition the other members of the Federation were only too happy to let Offspleenia stop taking their role as a world power seriously. In the ensuing years since the adoption of their apathetic stance towards world politics, Offspleenia has become a mostly lazy nation obsessed with living prolonged lives of comfort and entertainment, and their only major technological advancements have been in these areas, especially so far as genetic engineering goes. In fact, Offspleenian society is divided into an elite class of genetically enhanced superhumans, and a subservient class of non genetically engineered people, who live lives of near slavery serving their genetically superior masters. They have no need of any sort of sophisticated military, as Offsplenia is basically just an unappealing rocky island with no significant natural resources, and it is therefore, in the words of several historical prospective invaders “completely worthless to conquer”. Subject 24601 is a member of Offspleenia's genetically-enhanced social class, and he was created by the Offspleenian company Genetecorp, whose intention was to create the greatest athlete to ever play the popular Offspleenian sport Ultimate Plastic Disc (which is quite similar to the Earth sport of ultimate Frisbee, if ultimate Frisbee were played with genetically modified superhumans) and then reap most of the profits of his success. Subject 24601 was manufactured from a combination of the genes of the then-current greatest ultimate plastic disc player of each gender in Offspleenia, and he was further genetically modified from there. Before he was born, he was already heralded as the future greatest ultimate plastic disc player of all time. And Subject 24601 did not disappoint, becoming a Major League Ultimate Plastic Disc player at the age of 15 and leading his team to a championship in his rookie season (and all the 7 subsequent championships since then). But when he was 16, Subject 24601 realized his true calling in life, when he learned that Offspleenia’s participant in the 866th Grand Exhibition was the Offspleenian king’s pet cat, Meowers (she lost in the first round). Enraged at how his country was treating their hexannual chance to regain international prestige as a joke, Subject 24601 vowed that he would enter the 867th Grand Exhibition and win, and with the presumably ensuing support of the Offspleenian people, dethrone the king, and crown himself ruler of Offspleenia. Since then, Subject 24601 has been using ultimate plastic disc to train for the Exhibition and gain such fame that he could convince the king to let him enter the 867th exhibition in place of the king’s proposed entrant, his pet goldfish Marty. Psychological Evaluation: Subject 24601 is extremely intelligent, and by the standards of non-genetically enhanced intelligence, his IQ would be seen as slightly inhuman. However, as is common with many heavily genetically modified Offspleenians, Subject 24601 is often psychologically unbalanced. He is prone to angered violence, and is easily angered, so therefore it would follow that he’s violently pissed off at people a lot. He’s also extremely egotistical, and thinks himself superior to all other sentient beings, due in no small part, no doubt, to being conditioned with this view by Genetecorp as he grew up. If he returns to Offspleenia as the victor of the Exhibition, or even as a competitive finalist, he expects nothing less than to be treated as a living god by his fellow Offspleenians. Combat Training, Abilities, and Equipment Subject 24601 is genetically enhanced and stuff, as mentioned above. He is capable of running at speeds of up to 60 miles per hour and jumping as high as 25 feet in the air. Of course, in order for his body to be able to take such abuse, his bones and joints had to be genetically modified to be stronger and more durable than the average human body (to clarify this necessity, if a normal human were suddenly endowed with the ability to jump 25 feet in the air, that wouldn't do anything to stop them from breaking their legs as they landed). Therefore, it is nearly impossible for Subject 24601 to be injured while playing ultimate plastic disc, and unsurprisingly he has never been injured in his entire life. He has superhuman reflexes, which has proven useful as he is able to catch almost any plastic disc thrown at him. However, when he began to prepare for the 867th Exhibition, Subject 24601 realized that he wasn’t going to be playing a mere game, and therefore he realized that he needed some legit equipment to protect him. So he modified an ultimate plastic disc helmet (necessary as Offspleenians have not found a way to make the brain less susceptible to concussions through genetic engineering, and being hit in the head by someone running 60 mph has the potential to cause some brain damage) to suit his needs for actual combat. Subject 24601 has taken the advanced technology of his helmet and applied it to constructing full body armor, which, while not impenetrable or indestructible or anything, makes him considerably harder to kill. As far as weapons go, he has three harder-than-diamond Frisbee-sized discs with curved blades on the edges, making them convenient for cutting through stuff, like armor or the people that said armor is protecting. Subject 24601 has considerable control over the flight of these discs by the way he throws them, and he has a device on his left glove which he can use to attract the discs back to him. He also has a sword of the same material as these discs, which he can use for blocking stuff or attacking stuff and stuff like that, I guess. As I’ve mentioned above, Offspleenia has a really pathetic military, and this was all Subject 24601 could create with the materials available to him on his considerable but not spectacular income. However, he did equip himself with one Offspleenian firearm, just for the hell of it: a somethingcaliber handgun which would be fairly unimpressive even by modern Earth standards. The End.
