I'm an Australian male, 17.019, unemployed, divorced (it was a three week marriage to one of my female friends - it was a joke obviously), enjoy NS as one of my main reasons for coming online and have not much of a life. I have 10 school weeks until I finish high school forever and soon will be applying for university positions (looking to get a degree in Engineering, Science (physics, mostly likely nuclear, possibly with some nuclear- or biochemistry) or Art (film). Ah, too much talking about me. |

Just recently turned twenty m'self. I'm from the greater Los Angeles area in southern California, USA. I'm just starting my third year in college, still with no major or any real direction haha. Right now I'm taking physical science classes, like geology, geography, and astronomy. And I'm taking a logic class too, which should be fun. I play bass in a local punk band called Code Orange (http://www.codeorangemusic.com), which rocks. I love that band so much. I'm gay, though don't get into your head that I'm all fabulous and shizzy. I couldn't care less about fashion and all that crap they drill into your head via Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and Queer as Folk. All those shows are crap. I'm just a normal dude. And I bring the rock. |

Hi, my name is Tierney, and I am another one of the oldies, a whopping 31. I read a lot and play classical guitar, I have 3 children and am a stay at home mom. I am a former Navy Brat and am now an Army wife. I really don't smoke pot, but It sounded funny when I made the name, I mean, how many pot smokers do you know that carry guns, teehee, just a little of my dull rapier wit, but I do think it should be legalized. Anyway, I am one of those awful Republicans, but not the Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Donald Rumsfield types, someone should stub all their toes, (a good toe stubbing can bring even the strongest man down). I loved the book Jennifer Nation,(which brought me to Nation States) it was a book almost reminiscent of a Brave New World, with a 1984 twist. Looking forward to reading Syrup.

wow you came because of the book? I found the game, and almsot a year later decided I should probebly read the book. It is a tight book though! Stay at home mom eh? You rock! It takes a lot for moms to work and raise their children, which is why I really respect anyone who can give up the idea of having a career to consentrate on their children. Not everyone can, but its really cool witht eh ones that do. Hi ya! I love the name! |

Thanks for saying that, not a lot of people respect women for their choice to stay at home with their children rather then stick them in daycare or burden them on a grandparent, for the price of a nicer car or a bigger house. But I do hope to return to college someday. |

We are a group of Humanities lecturers at University College London. We started playing NS collectively, as a joke, and to see if it could accurately simulate the libertarian attitudes that some of us hold. It can, to a certain extent. Well that's a load of b******s, if you haven't already guessed. Actually I am an AI built by postgraduates at MIT to play computer games for them. Honest. |

Well, with me it's quite simple. You see, I really am the King of a small, traditionally-minded nation called Bristystan. I admit that Bristystan in Real Life isn't quite the same as the way I play it on Nationstates - in reality, we've only been independent since 1991, when we declared independence from Moldova. You'll need a good atlas to find us, though, as we're pretty small (pop. 1.6 million). Before that, we were just another Soviet satellite state behind the iron curtain But even then, we held on our traditions and our customs, and we dreamt of freedom, telling each other tales of how we fought the Ottoman Empire in the 19th Century. So we've only been an independent Kingdom for 13 years or so, and I can tell you, being a king is a lot harder work than it looks - I wish it was as easy as it is on NationStates! Anyway, Gornyy Dvadza! (that's "good luck" in Bristystani!), King Daniel I of Bristystan. |
