So my elbows and right forearm were bugging the shit out of me when I was lifting last week. I took a week off then just went back today for biceps and back. Well shit flared up worse than ever. It feels like the bones are constantly grinding together and on fire. I gotta go to the doctor tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure I have either tendinitis or golfer's elbow in both elbows.I hope it's nothing major because I will be pissed to hell if I can't keep my lifting up. EDIT: Just looked it up, and I'm 100% sure it's golfer's elbow. Looks like I'm taking a 10 day break from the gym with ice and drugs. Edited by Buddah Judda, Jul 10 2011, 11:08:24 AM.

Glucosamine Chondroitin is what you want to take for that I think. I took it about 2 years ago for something that had been bugging me for ages and felt like a rotator cuff problem in my shoulder. Cleared it right up. What you've got might not be the same though. |

Hey at least it's just 10 days. You could be on 3 months and counting. I've never had Golfer's elbow though, sounds like it hurts. |

It sucked once I left the gym, it hurt to move for a good 2 hours. Popped some Advil and threw ice on it. Still hurts, but it looks like I'll be doing just calisthenics and running for the next month. Gonna take 10 days from any physical activity, then just abs and pushups for a week, then throw in chin-ups, hopefully by August I'll be back into the swing of things. If it persists once August rolls around or if it bugs me during calisthenics I'll go get it checked out by a doctor. For now, old fashioned R&R. |

Hey, if you've been training a while you probably need a break anyways. It's always a good idea to take a week off every few months to recover. But yeah, being cut off from working out after you've been doing it regularly for a while sucks really bad. Hope you get better fast dude. |
