He means if you're one of those people who comes from England. You know, an English? It's in noun form, Grammar Girl. Surely you, Grammar Girl, whom I only call Grammar Girl when you are grammatically incorrect or something related, should know this.

I am unamused by the supposed interchangability of some nouns/verbs. Noun/verb interchangability is not HRADCOAR at all. :|

Englishman, Zeebs. You can't say 'an English'. You can say 'an English person', but you can't say 'an English'.

@Pokey: Yes, dammit, it's spelt with a bloody capital!
@NB: My life is grammar!
@Zeebs: Here is how the word 'English' can be used as a noun, according to dictionary.com

–noun 3. the people of England collectively, esp. as distinguished from the Scots, Welsh, and Irish.
4. the Germanic language of the British Isles, widespread and standard also in the U.S. and most of the British Commonwealth, historically termed Old English (c450–c1150), Middle English (c1150–c1475), and Modern English (after c1475). Abbreviation: E
5. English language, composition, and literature as offered as a course of study in school.
6. a specific variety of this language, as that of a particular time, place, or person: American English; Shakespearean English.
7. simple, straightforward language: What does all that jargon mean in English?
8. Sports. (sometimes lowercase) a. a spinning motion imparted to a ball, esp. in billiards.
b. body English.

9. Printing. a 14-point type of a size between pica and Columbian.
10. a grade of calendered paper having a smooth matte finish.

But please leave foreign cereal out of the mix.

Especially Australian cereals.

Australian Cereals are like if you got a 'gooey-kangaroo-pouch' and went 'down under'.

Some people like it.

Most people don't.

Yeah.

Suddenly I don't want my cereals...
