The topic says it all really, and this section could use a topic. This thread is for the history behind the period that most of the KW:C games were based off of. So, try to stay on topic, and enjoy. |

Was the way a guy got further up in ranks based on ability, or blood? I.E, was the late Han feudalistic, or meritocratic? |

It was a mix at times, He Jin for example was a butcher, who got high rank due to his sister who married the emperor, then you have those like Huangfu Song who was promoted by ability and the such. |

What was the religious climate of the Han? Were there any tensions between the different religions? I know the Yellow Turbans were Taoist, while the Han was mostly Confucian? |

Can't help but notice how 'Epic' the generals are portrayed as in the various games. But was a single general ever considered of more worth then a few standard soliders? |

Usually a general commanded his troops, unlike the DW/SW games where you only control the generals during a battle, it was more like they issued orders and carried out various stratagems to achieve victory in battle. One example could be Liu Bei during Bo Wan Po against Cao Cao's Xiahou Dun, Liu Bei came out victorious, his strategy causing the defeat of Dun. What sets a soldier aside from a commander is leadership, chain of command, all of that, you know? |
