anyone have a big screen tv made by samsung? what a piece of crap. been acting up for a long time now , did a search and its nothing but problems on these things . if its not the lamp then replace the color wheel if its not that then change the resistors or change the mother board . it got to the point the tv was perfect just dont shut the damn thing off, as it might take 50 or 75 attempts to turn it on. come home the other day and tv was off and clocks flashing 12;00 the power had flickered i guess. now it wont turn on at all

have an old one here thats probably 30 years old and it works fine? new technology is garbage and not meant to last

Try everyday turning it off and on again , multiple times a day . Unplug it overnight and try again the next day. When it does turn on the picture and every thing is great. Just will not turn on anymore

I would check the power supply make sure there is power coming out of it. I changed one in a toshiba that I had. It was a rear projection type and was not very hard to change.

They're pretty much disposable now. My plasma was 8yrs old, motherboard went and parts were more than a new one. Pretty sad.

Well I did a lot of reading online. Took the guts right outa the tv and put it on the table . Vacuumed and cleaned all the dust off and took the color wheel out . Read about the color wheel on how to check if it was the problem . Got the color wheel out , I spun it a few times and it didnt spin like it should . Ok that's the problem at least I know right . Put it all back together and had two screws left over ? Figured might as well try it and it turned on first try ? Lol who knows what the problem was ?
