Another Bowhunter

It's extreme ... but inspiring. Anyone exercising or training regularly?

Hanover, Ontario.

That is an extreme example but also a good video to make people think for a couple reasons.

Shooting with an elevated heart rate, how many people actually train for that? I would guess not many. When you get excited your heart rate naturally increases, making your hands shake. If you can train to get your heart rate elevated and then shoot, you will become a better shooter, bow or gun. If you have room try and take a little jog around your house or do 20 pushups then shoot your bow or gun. You don't have to be sucking air just get your breathing a little heavy. I guarantee that will help your shooting in an excited situation.

Also, how many times do we hear about people having heart attacks while out hunting. Every year I hear a story about it. Some make it, some don't. I'd hate to be the guy moose hunting in the middle of nowhere trying to gut a moose and having the big one.

And just for strength, you don't have to be hercules, but deer, moose and bear are large animals and they are a lot easier to move with a little strength.

That's my trainer response

Happy Healthy Hunting.
