Just wondering when everyone cuts their clover and at what height do you cut it back to? Thanks Donnie |

Depending on what type of clover you have, I cut mine down 6"- 8" and have cut it already two times. I have Chicory, Alice and Ladino clover. The last time was when the Chicory was bolting 2-3 weeks ago. I don't cut during the hot summer only before a good rain if needed. My last cut is usually in early August and gets eaten down to ground level by the deer again in September and October. I cut also if the weeds get to tall or start to flower. I also spray Clethodim (arrest or slay) for grasses. Clover loves to get mowed and only gets thicker and lush. Here's the clover and chicory after mowing May 28th at 6" ![]() Clover/Chicory mowed on June 20th at 8" ![]() Here is a photo of my modified swisher mower, new tongue and increased to 9" max height
