I finally got lucky and won something. At the Rocky Mountain Elk Fundraiser a few weeks back I had bought a raffle ticket and my number was called. This is a Tikka T3 Hunter 300 short mag, stainless. I decided to put the 7mm away until later for deer hunting and use this one for moose.

Never did connect with any moose on the opener but I did manage to get a pair of bucks. With the snow and wind conditions on Saturday, I was not counting on seeing any animals, never mind bagging two at the same time. These two were playing in a cut when I seen them.

Our party was finally successful with harvesting this bull on Saturday. He is a brute with 52" rack.

Congrats on the animals! What a sweet gun you won! Gotta love those Tikka's. Looks like you will have the deer and moose steaks to go with your walleye all season long.
