Well I heard a rumour the other day that they may scrap the whole thing and just keep the same system. Since the website has offered no new insight I emailed them and asked myself, here is there responce.

Thank you for your email inquiring about the status of Ontario's Moose Program Review.

The input we received throughout the review has provided us with hunter's perspectives on moose management in Ontario and how hunting opportunities are distributed. This information has informed the development of a new moose management policy and supporting guidelines which can be found on the review website at www.ontario.ca/moosereview. One of the outcomes of the review is a new and more inclusive process for determining new moose population objectives across Ontario. This process will begin this year and will include opportunities for local input. We will also begin discussions on new harvest management strategies to address local circumstances where necessary. I encourage you to stay involved.

We are also currently reviewing the input received from hunters about how hunting opportunities are distributed in Ontario. All comments will be considered prior to proposing any changes.

As further updates become available, they will be posted on our website at www.ontario.ca/moosereview.

I hope this information is helpful to you.

Guess there not in to much of a hurry (;

this sounds like the response i got from my boss on how to deal with a problem ; 1. listen to his or her concerns 2. apease them for the moment 3. make them feel as if they were part of solution and 4. let them leave satisfied and maybe they will forget the whole thing and if they remember start again . :bang:
