I've never had moose come into any cam/corn deer set-ups and start eating the corn. I've had a couple on trail cam walk right by it and continue on their way without even attempting to smell it, let alone taste it. I've personally seen a couple of moose walk right past it, as though they didn't even notice it there. So, I would have to say no. I did once get a picture of a cow moose eating apples, and also seen a bull walk right by them like they weren't there. |

Best way to attract them, is to call them in. |

After my first bear baiting last year i had lots of moose tracks directly around the bait, i had no camera up so i cant tell if they were eating it or just curious. I was baiting with corn, apples and dog food. Once the bears started hitting it i never saw another moose track

I have a story involving moose and feed, at one of my deer hunting spots south of Thunder Bay. I had an electronic feeder set for morning and night, don't have it there now as the bears wrecked it. Anyway I was using it to feed deer with trail mix, a mixture of corn, grains and pellets. I went to hunt it on the opener and was in my stand well before daylight, when first light came the feeder fired up made a racket spinning and flinging feed out and I was thinking to myself nothing is going to show with all that noise. The feeder had just finished its cycle and the bush seem to come alive, limbs breaking and the sound of animals moving towards the feeder. I was excited but thought they weren't deer, possibly bears but it was morning. Just then moose began to appear, first was a nice mature bull, then a cow with twin calves, they came right to the feeder noise obviously they were familiar with it and were eating it. It was a strange occurrence and I wouldn't have believed it had I not seen it. Beamer |
