It has come to my attention that the MNR head office has screwed up the moose tag draw . they misplaced or lost or not imputed some or all of the last 4 days of group allocated moose draw participants. Some of you may have been entered some may not have been . IF YOU CALL AND IT SAYS YOUR OUTDOORS CARD NUMBER WAS NOT ENTERD INTO THE MOOSE DRAW CALL HEAD OFFICE . I was there this morning wondering why our 2 groups were not entered in the draw and they played it low key but since then more information has come to light as of 20 min ago there are 9 groups that did not get put in and as you most of you may know alot of people have not called in yet to see

It actually happened to me years ago. We were able to prove that I had applied because I got a branch stamp yet they said hadn't after the draw. They gave me a bull tag on the spot after being shown proof. Don't think any branches stamp anymore though. Stay on it, you will likely get a tag.

So what is the outcome of you meeting the MNR about the problem?

If they admitted there was a mistake what are they doing about it?

Keep us informed please.

I love the way the MNR did it this year....but thats cause i got a bull tag :D ...that being said..i have heard of numerous complaints this year about large parties with no tags and individuals get tags???
I didn't fight my way to the top of the food chain to be a vegetarian.

I OVER HEARD SOME GUIES TALKING ABOUT THE MOOSE REVIEW
ALOT OF THERE OPINIONS WERE TO GET RID OF THE PARTY HUNTING FOR MOOSE
STRICTLY GO INDIVIDUAL AND IF YOU DRAW A TAG IN LETS SAY AREA 19 FOR 2010 YOU GO TO THE BACK OF THE LINE THE FOLLOWING YEAR AND CARRY THAT FORWARD.
WHAT DOES EVERYBODY THINK ABOUT THAT METHOD.

I like the points system. You accumulate points every year you don't draw. The computer just picks whoever has most points. That way the ones who have gone longest without a tag get the priority. Obviously different zones would still require to be tougher to draw due to hunting pressure and game population but you just establish a quota of moose you want harvested and thats it.

This is the way it should be done. The only real fair way to hand out tags.

Thanks for letting us know how it turned out. That happened to a buddy of mine a few years back and he got a tag as well. Only bad part about the whole thing is those tags given out come off next years numbers. So one least to fight over next year.

Quite the system we have eh.

Did it go dry for sure or is it something else? I,ve had my share of well problems but it had always turned out to be something a little easier than a dry well!.
