Well, for the second time in about 10 years a lone moose has made its way down to this neck of the woods. About a month ago my wife was heading to town and wasn`t a mile and a half from the house and thought she saw a really big, dark deer. She said it was crossing the road and slowed down to have a better look. She said it was very dark bu it was hard to tell because it had been raining for most of the day, so she thought it was a wet deer.

About 2 weeks after that another guy saw a big moose cross the road in front of him not 300 yards where my wife saw it.

And about a week after he saw it, another guy saw it in almost the exact same spot as my wife.

I was telling a few people about it and they all think we are crazy

Hopefully she makes it back up north so I can slam her in 69 more sleeps!LOL!

Crazy eh!!!!!!!!!!!

For sure, I`m in the heart of the kawarthas and there is no moose population at all. An hour drive north and theres a few, but none around here.
